Marshall is the Deontay Wilder of women's boxing tall, stiff, easy to hit, fight-changing power. Looks good KOing bums.

But that might be enough to get by shields. We'll see.

Yeah right. I was talking about how women compete in the same conditions as men in brutally demanding sports in term of physical conditioning and you mention what? Playing some sets of tennis? You are a troll sir. Tennis is meant to be played every day that's the difference. I'm talking about brutal physical effeort that can only be done few times a year like marathons, long distance swimming, 12 round boxing etc. Clearly women can fight in a ring for 36 minutes. The effort required is not comparable to running a marathon. Don't be a fool. If you don't like women boxing it's fine but don't make up bull**** about women's capability.

Medaling in a boxing tournament like the Olympics would be a better indicator of true ability.

Does Savannah have any Olympic medals? Because I know Claressa has two gold ones.

That is one awful case of special pleading, where you choose to ignore the actual result between the two competitors and look instead to the Olympic medals. She'll always have those medals, so I suppose it doesn't matter who wins in the upcoming fight either?

I'll choose to look at who wins and who loses as a reasonable guide to between who is the better of two fighters.

I'm just saying. If Marshall is better then why didn't she win ANY medals in the Olympics? She was active during two Olympic cycles, including for the Games that were held in her home country.

          It doesn't compute.

Claratchet is a very detestable person but when will you guys learn? The boxer usually wins like Fury battering Wilder or Bivol schooling Canelo. Or any top 3 ranked boxer against Tank if he ever tries fighting one for a change.

Only way it doesn't is if the skill levels are somewhat close or the puncher's power is much greater. I would bet on Shields to win by decision and immediately mute the tv to not hear her post fight interview.

If it helps, I will grant you that Shields' pitter-patter style could well suit amateur Olympian boxing far better than Marshall.

However, in terms of judging who is the better fighter out of two fighters, I will still go with straight up results, as one fighter's way of fighting may prove anaethma to another. As I said, the real proof will be the pro bout. I make no pronouncements about Marshall being better because of that previous result, simply that it is the best guide we have, and the gold medals do not somehow void the result.
