Comments Thread For: Shakur Stevenson Uncertain If He'll Remain At 130 Pounds After Conceicao Fight

NEWARK, New Jersey - Becoming boxing's fully unified 130-pound champion remains a goal for Shakur Stevenson. If the business doesn't align for the undefeated southpaw to land the two title unification fights Stevenson needs to win to reign as his division's undisputed champion, however, he could move up to the lightweight limit of 135 pounds after he boxes Robson Conceicao. Stevenson (18-0, 9 KOs) is scheduled to defend his WBC and WBO 130-pound championships against Conceicao on September 23 at Prudential Center in Stevenson's hometown of Newark.

If the kid has to get all the belts at 130 for history sake, do it. All those guys at 135 ain't going nowhere. I think he beats them all so getting more mature as a boxer is only going to help his future in the higher divisions.

Stevenson would be foolish to let promoter considerations stall his career. If he doesn't get a unification at 130 next just move up to 135 and unify there.

If Shukur doesn't struggle to make weight, and wins, then Navarrette is the fight! If not, move to 135, and don't look back! Haney vs. Stevenson is "Must See TV," for the Sweet Scientists!

Not even for them. Nobody wants to see two guys scared to hit each other. "Muh sweEt sCiEnce" is just a cop out. It takes skill definitely but it'd also prize fighting. Nobody ever looks back on those fights.

It’s not like the big fights at 135 will be made anyway if he moves up. Should get the other belts at 130 until Bob is ready to make Loma vs Shakur. Maybe by then Loma will have beaten Haney. Those are probably bobs plans if i had to guess

To each his own! I think Haney vs. Stevenson will be one of the best match-ups that can easily be made in 2023! Loma can have the winner! Now, I would prefer Tank vs. Shakur, but we know that won't happen, and we all know why!

                Jones Jr vs Toney
                mayweather vs judah

Skill vs skill always provides a good scrap.

It's when the scientists meets the flat footed hispanic is when it gets boring. Because the flat footed fighter doesn't have the equation to the problem.

Haney vs Stevenson......you better hope they fight cause nobody else got a chance of beating either one from 130 to 140

Froid won't allow it. Instead he'll just keep begging Oscar to make the Ryan fight lmao has stank ever even mentioned Stevenson?

Jones-toney was ok. Nothing special. Two roid cheats and tones had trouble making weight as it was his last fight before moving up.

Pretty boy froid was interesting and vs Judah was fun. But they actually threw punches not to mention interference from Roger that shoulda got froid disqualified.

Stevenson-haney will be like hopkins-jones. Might even be on ppv as well
