You don't care about this fight?Critics? I don't even hear anything about this fight. I personally don't care about heavyweights, I don't know, maybe there's some buzz in the US? I'm not seeing it anywhere. Not even on YT, American boxing content.
Usyk fan here. Not as a heavyweight. I loved his cruiser days. Usyk-Glowacki is one of the memorable fights I have ever seen, along with Toney-Jirov. After cruiser, I disconnected.
But
You left about 4 or 5 different posts in the comments?
You don't care about Heavy weights
But
The Wlad vs AJ Fight made You a fan?
Bruh
Just admit it You luv to post in every HW article on BoxingScene

You hit the nail on the head right thereHe deserves more respect than he gets.
For some reason he gets like, passionate hatred aimed at him and I'm not quite sure why?
Was he overrated? Somewhat, but is that his fault?
He has provided some good nights for boxing fans, had some very solid wins at heavyweight.
He's skilled but flawed, good but not perfect, that should be people's appraisal of him, but as I say, some people seem to have a feverish, foam at the mouth hatred of the man and I don't think he is deserving of that.
I sometimes wonder if these guys in the comments are Boxing fans or just Boxing Trolls
Fyi
If you personally don't like AJ why read & post Negatively in the Comments of every AJ article?
Ignore & move along
Doesn't make sense at allComment

Why worry about U.S. critics? I remember a time when AJ said "I don't need America!" That was before Ruiz demolished him! If he wants to appeal to the U.S. market, he needs to learn a few things from Fury! In fact, he should think seriously about knocking Fury out in Las Vegas! That should do the trick!Comment

I don't understand the obsession with heavyweights to "crack America" anywayWhy worry about U.S. critics? I remember a time when AJ said "I don't need America!" That was before Ruiz demolished him! The heavyweight division migrated from there a long time ago.
Fury earned quite a lot more for his fight with Whyte than any of the Wilder fights.
Unless you are Floyd mayweather or to a lesser extent canelo, and can draw in the billionaires and private jet mob to Vegas, you can make more money in stadium fights in the UK as a name fighter now.
The only reason to care about America is if you are nostalgic for the 70s-90s era and want to relive that
That's all it is, nostalgia.

I’m sorry to have to tell you this but filling a stadium in the U.K. is nowhere near as lucrative as filling a casino arena in Las Vegas. Wilder v Fury bluntly proved that
I don't understand the obsession with heavyweights to "crack America" anyway

I’m guessing the journalist asked him about America. Britons think a lot more about the usa than the usa thinks about the U.K. not sure if you’ve ever made it to Blighty but as an american one of the questions you may end up getting is along the lines of why the usa doesn’t know more about Britain, why the usa has the “World Series”, why Americans don’t travel more to Europe etc etc. they see the usa as an extension of Europe especially since the language is relatively the same but they don’t understand the vastly different culture the usa has nor the vast cultural diversity within the usa from region to region, state to state, and ethnicity to ethnicity. We Brits grow up and every day are inundated with American culture through tele, music, movies etc etc and the same doesn’t happen. Here in the usa with British arts and culture. There is definitely a tendency to compare Britain to the USA within Britain especially for the working class and lower who will never to travel to the usa. Spain is generally their option of travel and even then not much immersion in Spanish culture. And in terms of sports there is definitely a one sided “rivalry” with British fans, especially when it comes to boxing since American sports are overwhelmingly internal. Why worry about U.S. critics?
