This makes no sense. AJ had the undisputed fight with Fury waiting for him if he beat Usyk. He didn't need to lose to Usyk first in order to fight Fury and losing to Usyk means he might never get that superfight now.

Usyk isn't a Matchroom fighter. And even if he was, why would AJ want to lose his place as the No1 Matchroom star and give it to someone else?

Americans don't respect AJ because when he went over there to boost his profile, he ended up getting beaten up and stopped by a fat man.

Joshua needs to go back to America and prove himself like Fury did.

You forgot Fury ducked AJ so he could fight that bum wilder a third time for a fraction of what he would get for AJ. Fury knows he could have dumped the wbc belt and fought AJ but he didn't want that. He wanted wilder 3. So AJ did the next best thing, a two fight series with Usyk, most likely pre planned.
