Specially if he keeps fighting champs after champs and a lot of these champs are undefeated… Canelo is a bad man Brotha… you know it, everyone knows it. Call it like it is… isn’t hard to see. I’m a huge fan of his as you and many here know, but against Floyd and Bivol… he got embarrassed… they both made it look easy too. It is what it is but it doesn’t take away from his greatness you know why I have that sentiment? Because FLOYD is and ATG and Bivol is a lot bigger and can become a HOF one day… so there isn’t nothing to be ashamed of for Canelo in those defeats… I have more respect for a fighter that challenges themselves and comes up short then one that stays undefeated but never challenged himself… that’s an easy call for me. Canelo is special my guy, and his legacy is t done from being written, the final chapter has yet to even start and, it’s going to be a helluva ride… enjoy while it’s here my guy

sad thing is with the judges he has officiating he only has to win one more round than he did in the first fight to get a draw

I know you and I haven’t seen eye to eye but I’ll admit, you know boxing and you can be very accurate when you choose to be. I’ll admit, canelo is no joke. But like all great fighters, they chase just 1 step too far sometimes.

I am not a hater and I am grateful for the fights he has put in, but something about the way his punches look so impactful lead to some rounds being nodded his way.

Bro if he beats him for real, then he gets the respect, But he legit lost every round. People who know boxing wil give him 0-1 rounds. He’s gotta show it though. A fake scorecard isn’t good enough for him anymore. It’s sad that his scorecards are so tainted but they just are. 100% they are.

Yes, but considering all he and the past greats have accomplished when they get to that “1 step too far” part of their careers… what are they to do? It comes down to continuing to challenge yourself to see how far you can go how much you can improve your legacy by fighting the tough opponents the champions the fights that have weigh behind them weight in sense that it makes your name heavier in the history Books. Or fight easy fights that won’t do much to improve your legacy, m at be even hurt it sometimes… or retire if you feel you can’t do anymore to improve y he legacy or your body doesn’t respond anymore. In canelos case, i don’t think his gas tank is empty. I think he still has some more in there to give. So, it’s an easy call if like to see him and anyone for that matter that is in his position in the future to keep challenging themselves by getting in that ring and fighting the best of the best. Which, ggg isn’t really doing that but Bivol would and he is honoring his contract. So, my question to make it simple is, what do you prefer, seeing great fighters keep challenging themselves… or retire… or fight tomatoes? I like to see them challenge themselves win lose or draw. But that’s just me. You?

I always prefer to see great fighters challenge themselves but retire when it’s clear they’ve declined too much, and definitely retire before some nobody who wouldn’t have been able to touch them in their primes, beats them in embarrassing fashion. Hated seeing some of the guys who beat Chavez, Mike Tyson, Roy Jones jr, when they fought well beyond their best days.
