AJ wasn't successful in finding the mark but he had not stopped trying the entire fight, making things very difficult for Usyk
Did you watch the fight from rd7 onwards?
Actually watch it, he was to clueless or tired to even jab a constantly moving target in Usyk,he might have thrown 1 combo after the 6th.
From 7 onwards all Aj did was paw out a slow pushing jab trying to just touch Usyk.
He doesn't know what to do with a moving target he's so used to fighting slow shot old 38-41 yr olds of the former generation that made him look good.

What AJ was lacking most in the first fight is self-confidence. If he managed to get his confidence back and uses his attributes properly Usyk will have a rough night.
I agree but any confidence Aj had the first fight vanished with that first back hand left straight down the pipe, Usyk can ****.
Chisora with Buncy & price was on a bus for a bbc pod talking about his fight & he said he was out on his feet from 1 punch & the bell saved him, he was really funny the way he talked about it.

Big deal, i used to play 90 minutes of football on a sunday, have a pint, go home & fall asleep on the couch watching the f1 when it was on free tv. I'm certain out boxing Aj took alot more effort.
Aj meanwhile was crying with all his team he had a broken orbital, not.

Boxing forum experts are phenomenal. They know better than Usyk himself if the fight was hard for him.

All in all the fight was quite competitive after 8 rounds it was 4-4. Usyk had clearer rounds won but nevertheless he also was bothered by some of the shots AJ threw in the middle rounds. Usyk finished the fight well but nevertheless it was definitely not the shutout that AJ haters like to pretend.

AJ needs to win 7 more rounds this time and he wins the fight. It's nothing crazy when you consider that AJ's corner was useless. McCracken just kept yelling brilliant at everything Joshua did or didn't do. Usyk fought very well but I see way more room for improvement for AJ in the rematch. Usyk is a smart fighter and I'm not saying that he cannot outfox and outclass AJ more clearly this time.

AJ winning this isn't that big of an upset even. The first fight was a great display of clean boxing and the rematch likely will be more messy. It'll be exciting to see who comes out on top. I only hope it won't end in an injury or accidental headbutt.

              May the best man win.

It was a fight of 3 thirds

1st third Usyk too quick and nimble

2nd third AJ started to find the mark and took some rounds

3rd third Usyk pulled away as Joshuas stamina faded

I think Usyk was probably relived that AJ started gassing out down the stretch as that made things easier for him.

If AJ can start round 1 the way he boxed in rounds 4-8 and sustain that success for 5 or 6 rounds then he can turn the result around.

That’s bad news for Usyk ,what’ll happen if he’s awake considering the damage to his face and the fact it went 12 ? I don’t think you thought that through .

In certain sporting events the score does not necessarily convey the mastery one team/opponent has over another. here are some examples: The best World series I ever watched was the Boston REd Sox versus the Cincinnati Reds, this was 1974 or 73? The series came down to (what appeared to be) a close 7th game... Yet anyone who knew baseball understood that while the Red Sox that year were fantastic... the Big Red Machine was a better team. Another example would be when years back brazil beat the usa in the world cup... For most of the game? brazil led by 1 goal... yet there was no way the United States was going to beat brazil! and the game was not really close.

Usyk demonstrated that he has another gear. He never let the fight get away from him. He took chances hence, the damage he sustained... And when he had to do so? He took things to another level. I don't care if the judges kattie Taylored him lol... People who know boxing can see these "levels."
Usyk was the better fighter, and certainly the classier operator. You won't get any argument from me.

I doubt know baseball. I certainly know football - this wasn't international minnow USA trailing Brazil. It's two of the very elite, who were tied two thirds into the fight with the momentum with Joshua. Then he gassed, which was a bit predictable given the pace Usyk was taking the fight to in the early stages.

I favour Usyk because I think he has other gears. And I think he will solve whatever problems Joshua can give him. But Joshua gave Usyk a hell of a fight. Usyk dominated the first three but Joshua was good through the next 5.

If Joshua can perform for 8 rounds. Hit Usyk with the lead rights that gave him problems through the middle of the fight, then he can win.

There's a gap in quality but there's still a gap in power too. Boxing isn't just about quality.

Watch the fight again. You'll enjoy it.
