State of the Middleweight Division (160)?

Golovkin will likely retire soon, Lara is past his prime, Jaime Munguia is still fighting cab drivers and struggling at that, the biggest challenge to Jermall Charlo was Macias and is now fighting the almighty Sulecki. Sergio Martinez is 47 years old.

Chris Eubank Jr is contemplating fighting a Welterweight prospect who lacks experience even in his own division, Ryota Murata is on the decline and even at his prime lost to an over the hill GGG, Demetrius Andrade is overhyped despite his resume.

Currently the division is not looking bright, is there any prospects for this division to watch out for?

I was pretty bullish on Felix Cash’s chances of impacting the world scene, but constant pull-outs and overall inactivity have dampened my hopes somewhat. He’s a good fighter though - Denzel Bentley is another Brit middle who I think is European level at worst, and Cash decimated him in three.

Hamzah Sheeraz seems to be BT’s golden boy as well. Tall and a good inside fighter as well. Undefeated, but definite question marks after the Skeete fight. That was at 154 though and maybe he was drained at the weight.

I’m quite high on Zhanibek, but he’s well known now being the interim champ and all.

I still don't know why Canelo doesn't return and beat the crap out of Charlo, Andrade and 40 yo GGGeezer and became undisputed. Okay, he didn't fight Andrade for legacy at higher division but now he already cleared 168 and understood that he is too small for an elite 175 lber. He is natural MW, he can make 160 despite a bit pain. He whoops everyone at 160.

The entire Middle Weight to Super Middle Weight Divisions, are the least strongest they have ever been.

Since the the end of the Calzaghe, Froch, Kessler, Taylor, Pavlik era's, the divisions have dropped right off.

Historically these divisions have always been really strong, and always in the Top 2-3 divisions in boxing, but that is not the case anymore etc.
