Guess you din't actually see his last fight then against Jovanie Santiago He lost the fight easy. To a guy with only 14 fights.Russell stopped in his next fight in 6. Are you joking. If you like the guy so much that you think he actually won that fight? don't let me stop you. His performance was dreadful. He claims he best Pacquiao, out boxed him. Not even close. He got a draw against Vargas So technically your right it wasent a lost. I lost respect for him when he broke the contract for his fight with his sparing partner Grandos. After forcing him to go up 7lb, week of fight cus his 65 yo lazy ass couldn't make weight.
Then gets a gift SD as well. So yeah great guy but not much of a fan. You deserve to watch his last fight a few times since you called me out on this. I guess if the judges saw him Beating Pacquiao in that fight you would agree as well , regardless of reality.
I don't actually believe he won a ligit fight since 16-17, regardless of the judges scores, a draw and SD. His last real win was Theopane sure his fans can't forget that one. Doubt he's even ratedLast edited by P4P Forever; 07-23-2022, 11:32 PM.Comment

''“Hey, man, you talkin’ to me like I’m 65 years old, man,” Broner said. “Do you know who you talkin’ to? I’m AB, man, Adrien Broner. You trippin’.”
Almost Bumlevel getting emotional.
He sad that he has to actually prove himself.Comment

That was a nice way to lay out the truth
I remember that, but he didnt crush any Corrales types when he was being hyped...in fact his resume win wise is absolute trash across all weights compared to his hype.
His career now is bewildering to me. To be fair he is not a gatekeeper...you have to fight people good enough to walk through a gate to do that. It's like he's some kind of freakshow that showtime/al feel they owe something to. Hurry up and do something incredibly ****** and FO into oblivion and free up those time slots for serious boxers
Broner was supposed to be the second coming of Mayweather lol
Never did he live up to that or even come close to it
His record is atrocious and he’s nothing more than a journeyman
Your absolutely right , he ain’t no gatekeeper and never will be
And yeah , I think it’s pity that retains him to Showtime/Al

When you look at AB's career, the problem is his ego and mouth. AB is a four-class champ. Can't take that away from him. He just moved up to a weight that he is competitive but not dominant. His place was 140 and below. The Maidana fight ruined his world. That's where his ego came in. He thought he was going to be the second coming of Floyd. Ironic that it was Maidana who shattered all of the hope for AB. Some fighters are just fighters and record does not fully reflect their greatness. Pacquiao is/was 62-8-2. Clearly Manny was a far greater fighter than that. Defeat did not alter the trajectory of his greatness. Broner was locked in on his record... on being Floyd, shoulder roll and all. Since he moved to welter, he has been 8-4-1. Granted he has been fighting at high level. Losses to Maidana, Porter, Mikey and Manny is not something to be ashamed of. But Maidana ruined the dream of being Floyd... of getting to 50-0. Couple that with moving up to a weight class where he his power doesn't command the same respect that it did below 140. It's the Canelo Conundrum — Canelo can be a top 10 Lightheavy, even a top 5. But once you get to Bivol and Beterbiev, Canelo can only go so far. Same has held true for Broner.Last edited by OhMightyThanos; 07-24-2022, 10:05 AM.Comment

He couldn't take the Rocnation offer just like Thuman couldn't take the 3-fight 8 million offer (people forget that). Andrade was the one who got burned. There's a reason why he keeps going off on Haymon. T-Street did a video a few years back showing where Haymon could add years on a contract for inactive equaling 7 years of activity for a standard PBC contract. Haymon had just recovered 800million. Do you think he was going to let his most marketable guys walk at that time?Comment

no, but you CAN put it in the proper perspective. VACANT title at 130, Beats Demarco for 135 strap (legit), split decision vs old Paulie for 147 title, and then another VACANT title at 140.
So its not like he knocked off 4 sitting champs or anything. His management made some clever moves and advantageous matchmaking. Nothing wrong with that as far as business goes, but it doesnt put him on the same level as other "4 division champs" who actually put in the work.......Comment
