      Tank of course will probably fight a tuneup before the big fight with abner mares.
      Didn't Haney have to drop Top Rank as a condition for the Kambosos fight?

        Of course Stevenson/Haney would not be Gatti/Ward, but maybe Rigondeaux/Donaire wrt to elite skills and tactics. Would love to see it!

        Props to Stevenson for wanting to test himself and publicly stating his goals. Business will never realize a fight like this for the good of the sport. Fighters have to self-promote to create demand.

          See Crawford
          Sure looked to me like the other way around was the case. Those PBC guys kept talking about "the other side of the street". Fault lies with the people turning it down because it's cross promotional, not the guys making the offers to fight cross promotional.

            Learn your history.

            Tim Bradley started that after he ducked Broner.

            Bradley = Top Tank.

                That doesn't mean Crawford was responsible for it with respect to the PBC guys refusing to fight him. That's a common logical flaw (x person did A so ONLY that person does A). Doesn't hold up. But Arum also didn't like his own fighter in the case of Crawford and complained about losing money on him, do who knows. Point is, you can only extrapolate history so far, and need to acknowledge that it's an assumption. It's not like Arum has never made cross promotional fights before. IMO Haymon is far more guilty of protecting his fighters within his own promotion recently, particularly with respect to the divisions in question. But YMMV.

                  Shakur is the future . Hopefully he moves up to 135 if the final two jr lightweight champions avoid him like the plague

                    What are you talking about? Haney is 23 and Stevenson is 25. Were did you get that Haney was 27 or 28?
