Maybe 20-30 years ago Floyd would be appreciated but...

...after the years of Tyson knockouts and the ufc attracting fans that want quick endings Floyd using his skills to beat a guy he should've stopped early doesn't bring casual fans to his side. If the guy wonders why Manny is loved all he has to do is look at how he fights. In this era the fans want destruction not a dancing contest. I personally think back in the 80's Floyd would be appreciated more but he lacks the killer instinct the public craves to be a megastar. Without his unbeaten record Floyd to quote Hatton wouldn't "draw flys to ****."

20-30 years ago he would be destroyed by elite 140-147 dude

Gayweather will just be a gate-keeper 20-30 years ago.

SRL, Hearns will murder him. Esp Hearns. Arguello decapitates him. Pryor straight out sends him into early retirement AND FOR GOOD.

It's not that Mayweather's skills are not appreciated, most fans just don't appreciate the way he picks his fights. I mean Whitaker is very appreciated today and in his time because of his skills and because he fought and beat the best there was, that was during the Tyson craze.

But Whitaker never had and Mayweather probably never will have the rabid fan following that a guy like Pacquiao has because of their styles.

Not really... seeing as he admitted he's a coward and a duck.

Let's see if Gayweather can win a fight with Calderon at a catchweight of 160 pounds.

Gayweather did not fight the best nor did he beat them.

              Let's get that straight.

Love to hate his boxing persona--but when it comes down to his fighting--he's a snoozer. Accept it. I give him credit for being a great salesman!--But what he sells is a bad product.

Gatekeepr? Man, keep that shyt moving. Floyd showed he is damn good. He would've been a beast in any era. I believe he has the skills to prove this. I don't think anyone decapitates Floyd, he's just too good. The boxers you named would've had a good chance of beating him but destroying him, man that shyt is straight ridiculous.

He became more selective of his opposition after the Castillo fights, before that though he was fighting top 10 guys in his division on a regular basis.
