I don't think Davis should move to 140 pounds for Garcia, who has zero titles. I think Garcia if he wants to fight at 140 pounds, should call out Teofimo Lopez.

Tank fans act like he himself isn't cutting a significant amount weight to make 135 as well. It's just Ryan's build and height allow him to carry it better.Last edited by Sctrojan; 07-24-2022, 10:32 AM.

They are crap and ruin the sport.
Tank Davis has no reason to fight at a catch weight or move to 140 pounds, right about now.
Garcia is calling out people, he knows are not really going to take the fight with him.
If Garcia wants a big fight, he should be calling out Teofimo Lopez.

There'll not be a catchweight, NEVER. Unlike Canelo, Davis doesn't do catchweights or rehydration clauses, and Ryan hasn't done crap in boxing. He has no resume and isn't the bigger name to demand anything. Stop with the false equivalency as well.
Fight is on the table. Time is ticking.Last edited by BoxingIsGreat; 07-24-2022, 11:17 AM.

And yes Davis has a reason to fight at a catchweight. It's becoming apparent to even casuals that there's an unwillingness to put Tank in there against anyone credible. The smoke and mirrors can only go on for so long before people start questioning that and it appears we're at that point. In just 3 fights Ryan already has a resume on par,if not better than Tanks. Ryan's wants the fight,MP and Tank say they want the fight so make that **** happen. If it's a catchweight so be it.
But yes in the meantime, maybe Davis could fight Garcia.
If it the fight happens, I think it will be at 135 pounds. Davis will be reluctant to move up, because once you are up 'You are up, and may not come back down'.
I think it is a close fight to call anyway.
Garcia has faced and beaten top boxers. Luke Campbell may not have had elite power, but he was a Olympic Champion and World Class boxer etc.

The call out was done to get media attention. Backfired because anyone with common sense realizes calling out a LW at 140 and not 135 is a phony attention grab.
