The truth is he is a very good fighter but one who also cherry picked fights and took very few risks in his career. His amateur record shows what happens when he couldn't cherry pick - ie he lost to David Price and a few other people. But in the pros...um... yes he avoided David Price.

At least be honest - true to form Fury is hiding away and hoping AJ wins because he is scared of Usyk. Fury already said Cunningham was his hardest opponent and look at Cunnigham's Heavyweight record (it was terrible). Usyk is a turbocharged Cunnigham.

BUT if AJ wins or if Usyk wins and looks terrible maybe we will see Fury come back...
Where did I ignore anything "bad" about Fury I mentioned his Ban for PEDs, I also mentioned if he was active during the 3+ years he was "inactive" as he calls it and didn't fight the likes of Povetkin, he'd be a joke.

But you're neglecting to realise Lepai,Chisora,Wilder,Ruiz,Perez and Hammer were the only fighters rated above him in the WBO whilst he was climbing in late 13/14 were is the hate to the aforementioned fighters and he'd fought for the Irish title to try and build an Irish "base" and a string of Americans before fighting Cunningham in the US you think this is all a coincidence?

Price had been splattered twice by Thompson twice by then and when people were discussing it, it was relatively early in theirs respective careers why would they fight "early", two giants from the UK who could eventually fight for a world title?? makes no sense to do so are you forgetting how much people were hyping Price and Fury was an unknown quantity fighting on the likes Channel 5 and ITV4....

And no one is denying he could be wary of Usyk, I believe Usyk has the beating of him but that's besides the point, hiding isn't the word like I said no one accused Floyd of being scared/hiding when he retired multiple times so he'd ensure he got overpaid.

Fury chose to avoid Price. AJ fought Whyte early. Whyte beat AJ in the amateurs just like Price did to Fury. Whyte is way better than Price. AJ was in trouble in that fight for round or two.

WBO ratings don't mean anything. What about Povetkin/Pulev? Why did Fury never fight them? Pulev had only been beaten by Klitchsko up until 2020 and Povetkin was the same up until 2018. How can Fury claim to be the best of his era when he only beat one top guy in an era every 5 or 6 years?

*I* accused Floyd of hiding. He avoided people. But then he also fought a ton of great fighters. Way more than Fury. I was actually a big Floyd fan and a big Fury fan but then swung the other way when they started avoiding people. I don't care about unbeaten records. I just want to see big fights. I hate fighters who talk big and then don't take the big fights. We (the fans) pay their money, we get them sponsorship deals. The idea is they give us the fights we want in return.

If Fury isn't hiding from Usyk, what is he doing? He should just man up. I would respect Fury 100% more if he had fought everyone and lost a couple of fights. Ali lost 5(?) fights. But he also fought the best at their best. If he had retired unbeaten but avoided Frazier, Foreman etc - he wouldn't be the legend he now is.
