I said that fight did not make sense back then. Is a bigger now for both do you not agree? Back then Floyd was at 140 Mosley was at 154 coming off 2 losses. What would a win to either fighter prove? Please tell me? He beat Margarito who Floyd blatantly ducked. He already fought Cotto in NY and didn't think he would get a fair shake there do you blame him? He still was willing to fight Cotto but not in NY. By the way thats 2 top WW fighters who Shane got in the ring with. That Floyd still hasn't fought. HBO put up 3mil for the Berto fight. He offered Berto 750k out of the 3mil how is that a low ball offer? He offered Mayweather and Floyd came back and said he will not fight Shane for anything lower than 20mil. Shane was willing to negotiate and give him more money. Floyd would not budge from the 20mil. Honestly you don't think Floyd is to blame. He was willing to fight Clottey. Again another top WW who Floyd has not fight. And, HBO took the date away. How is that Shane fault? Again remember Golden Boy was willing to increase the 8mil. And, it was Floyd who refuse to come down from the 20mil. Tell me who was scared to fight? But, yet he fights JMM for 10mil? Ok yea Shane is ducking him.

My thing is every boxer/fighter do what they do to advance
in the game. Floyd made his millions and name fighting two
guys that were/are very popular, who wouldnt fight them?
Shane wants Floyd because Floyd will get him paid and Floyd
is looking at Shane like he wont do the same for him. I would
love to see Floyd fight Shane/Cotto/Berto and whoever else
so Im not debating that part but Shane was in Mayweather
position years ago and opted not to face Floyd and Floyd was
chasing him and Oscar calling them out. Why do people keep
bringing up Margarito? Your justifying Mosley for not fighting
Floyd but wont cosign Floyd for not fighting Margarito? Who
was Margarito at the time? a NOBODY! All he had was a BS
strap, PLUS Floyd didnt take Margarito because he parted ways
with Arum to get a fight with Oscar because Arum didnt want
to make the fight happen. Why do people keep disregarding
information like that?

Cotto's management said he called him out--and that Cotto wasn't ready--that was Bob Arum's mouth, not Floyd's. and Mosely, himself stated that at the time he didn't have any interest in fighting Floyd. I didn't start watching boxing or fighting yesterday and I ain't giving him excuses--the only reason why I'm even typing in Floyd's defense is because there is much bull**** posted in these forums from idiots. Marquez isn't an easy fight, Floyd made it look easy and not because of the weight either. Weight doesn't make a great fighter only be able to hit you 5 times a round--that's skill. I'm sure you're bigger than Marquez & I'm also sure he'd put his hands on you a lot more than he did Floyd. Weight comes into play in the areas of punch resistance and punching power--thus allowing you to impose your will on a smaller man. Floyd doesn't fight that way, he out quicks & out thinks you and that's a problem for any fighter. Will he fight bigger stronger guys who come in the ring as middle weights? Maybe, hopefully, but if he doesn't you won't see posts from me whining and calling him names because of it. BTW, where is all the bitching about other guys who've made their whole careers fighting smaller men and bullying them? I guess you never hear a complaint about them because, it's pleasing to watch?

Even if Mayweather fights Mosley most everyone on here will cry that he's dodging Cotto/Pac. If he went on to beat Mosley people would say Mosley was old... So whats the point. Mayweather will wait for Cotto and Pac to fight IMO.

I have Cotto beating Pac but I want to see Mayweather whoop Pacs little over rated ass at this point. He thinks he's P4P, well he hasn't fought the man who just whooped little ass JMM. Mayweather will embarrass Pac and embarrass people that actually call Pac P4P # 1. I've said it from day one. Soon people will understand. Pacs great but not Mayweather GREAT.

fought on NOV 10th 2007 and Floyd fought Hatton on Dec 8 2007
so how could they have fought?

he had the juice in him AND Oscar was a champ and the bigger
man when Floyd fought him at 154 Oscar comfortable weight.

Mayweather-Hatton was signed days before Cotto-Mayweather look it up. Still Floyd could of not went after Hatton and go after Mosley. Mosley was willing to fight around this time. Cotto was willing to fight around this time. But, Floyd wanted Hatton instead. Even Leonard Ellarbe said after Hatton Made that comment about Floyd not being exciting. Floyd get me that fight.

And, Oscar was old. why do you guys make this man wins better than what they really are? He was done as a fighter at that point. Are you guys going cuz he KO'd a shot Mayorga I don't get it?
