Chris John Holds On To Win Decision Over Juarez

I had a strong feeling that this fight would be a let down, and I even said so in the lead up to it, and I was right. Remember when Rocky's rematch with Barrera became a sparring session because of his refusal to throw punches? Same thing here. The sad thing is that Rocky has the power to hurt John and even beat him up in both fights when you look at actual damage. But you just can't let a guy outbox and outwork you like that. Too little, too late. Juarez needs to be kept off HBO for a few fights.Comment

John put on a clinic. I was really pulling from Rocky because I'm from texas but the guy just never pulled the trigger.
I was screaming in the 12th when he wobbled John but he stood back and didn't finish the job. DAMNIT ROCKY!! WHY DIDNT YOU LET YOUR HANDS GO??!!Comment

At the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, WBA featherweight champion Chris John (43-0-1, 22KOs) won a twelve round decision over Rocky Juarez (28-5-1, 20KOs) to retain his title. The scores were 114-113, 119-109 and 117-111. [details]
John is a solid fighter and there's plenty of good fights at 126 lbs.Comment

What a great performance by Chris John,he deserved the victory in this fight/and in Houston too, even though he didn't get it.Rocky Juarez gave John Problems late, but even that wasn't enough to compensate for the wide margin of points he was down by.
All in all This was a great boxing match IMO,and Chris John is a Great Boxing TechnicianComment
