Looks like Ortiz is trying to improve his chin by having two of them.

    T
hat made me laugh! Still got Ortiz though, he has the skills that pays bills & Ruiz, IMO, hasn't. Apart from a KO guy like Wilder, Ortiz would be vulnerable to any H/W who could set a really high pace, but, that ain't Andy Ruiz. I think this is going to be a lousy fight conducted at a speed that would suit a giant sloth that had been doing smack & it is going to be dominated by the guy with better all-around boxing skills.

When you're taking pictures of fat people, you have to take pictures from the side. Not from behind or facing you, otherwise they can deceive you because they can hide their gut.

When I start seeing side pictures of Ruiz, when he's idle (and not sucking in his gut), I'll judge if he's in shape.

Otherwise, he's still a fat slob.

Yeah, very true. I could never find any good evidence that he was becoming a lean, mean, fighting machine. Lots of pics of him sucking in his gut though.

Honestly why does he focus on his conditioning? has a good gas tank and has impressive hand speed.

It worked agaisnt Joseph Parker and Anthony Joshua.

Reynoso tried to make him a sitting duck instead of a fighter who applies pressure.

Agreed He out boxes Ortiz in this fight. Hes gonna retire the old man, may hit a few bumps early on. Shines as the rounds go on. Late stoppage or solid UD . This the most conditioned Ruiz I've ever seen. Its gonna look easier then you think

Ruiz could be a real threat in this division. As far as his conditioning, I look in the ring. Ruiz does do best applying pressure and there is an optimal weight for him to do so. I don't care how he looks.

Ortiz has been proving the Haterade committee wrong from day one... never count an old Cuban out! Truth is, even in losing to Wilder he fought exceptionally. BUT alas father time approaches. If ortiz wins this I would be shocked, but again, Hes managed to shock others before (not me).

Ruiz has a really really great chin. Ortiz will have to land that perfect punch if he's to have any chance at all. I'm pretty sure Ortiz knows this and he'll be looking for it, trying to set it up. All the while the Destroyer will be shuffling forward working at a sustainable pace. 7 rounds tops, Ortiz lands that perfect shot or his legs give out.

How are you going to determine what shape Ruiz is in by what criteria ? You guys will just say he’s out of shape anyway because we know he tips the scales at a weight accustomed to his body but that won’t stop you .

The entire myth he was out of shape for A.J in the rematch has already been busted . Only when he lost the excuses came out ,when he lost actual good amount of weight he struggled with Arreola . He was fine for the rematch everyone including their grandmothers were outspoken how well Ruiz trained for A.J only trolls on here couldn’t except he got out boxed easily and cried about it .

Ruiz should win this fight by all logical considerations. Primarily because his chin is top notch and his activity level is phenominal.

I like both fighters, two skilled technicians who for different physical reasons are pretty much shot. Age and refrigerators, respectively, have done them in.

Here’s hoping old man Ortiz makes it out of boxing with his marbles intact. For Luis and Andy to be set up and living life well, that’s my wish.
