It depends how a fighter uses counter punching ,Ruiz is far more effective when catching and countering an opponent’s punches because he has the significant hand speed advantage . Setting traps and and slipping punches is Ortiz advantage with better timing but if his timing is off he can’t win this fight . Ortiz has to be on point to win his fights not so much Ruiz he can get by with creating his own moments more with just his hand speed and abilities to match opponents with hand speed .

That’s because Wilders best wins are Breazeale , Ortiz and Stiverne all who don’t fight outside the PBC . Ruiz was gifted an opportunity beyond that high level fights havent taking place involving Wilder beyond Fury so your post doesn’t really reflect these facts because there would be no reason for former A.J opponents to compare with Wilder who’s fought the far lower spectrum of the division in comparison .

Breazeale defeated Molina who fought Wilder for the title so what you say is incorrect anyway because that is one A.J opponent that defeated a Wilder one even though both defeated Breazeale and Molina .

Well....no. Ortiz KO'D the man from whom AJ won his claim to a heavy title, and that's the only evidence in a head to head that we've got, comparing their opponents. The rest is just silly opinions.

I'm not sure it really matters. These two are so out of prime that comparisons aren't really worthwhile.

Ortiz must be in his sixties now. And just saw Ruiz training - he looks bigger than he did in Saudi.

Looking forward to the fight. But I doubt either are really in the championship picture.

That wasn’t your argument moving goal posts again .

For your argument to have any sense to it using what you used here that means someone who fought A.J has to defeat Stiverne because that’s who Wilder won his belt from ?

Keep in mind A.J also defeated Parker and Klitschko for unified titles who Stiverne avoided like the plague .

If that’s all you got you have to do better then that ,besides that Molina hurt Wilder we could just use that as well which A.J walked through him in a few rounds without breaking a sweat and Molina is a common direct opponent right ? If we’re going to use things when we want ?

As far as silly opinions well if I wanted to do that I’d just make a numbers ranking system ,ignore when fighters fought and then add an extra fighter to the one I want to get ahead on more points right ?

I feel Ruiz gets overrated on here for his win over Joshua. He looked bad against The Nipple who hasn’t looked good in years. Ortiz just looked bad as well. It’s a pick em that should be entertaining while it lasts.

I'm seeing a lot of tits and no abs. Horrifying that these slobs pass off as HW contenders.

Now there. I've explained the system, including the 1-10 ranking assignments being reflective of the moment of each fight, as well as the reason Wilder got 1 extra 5+ ranked figher. I GAVE AJ every benefit I could. Wilder has done (Ever so slightly) better overall work because he's done more work, not because his average opponent was better! Read more! Wilder has KOd or multiple knocked down every single man he's faced! Has AJ? Klitschko was a retired, middle aged man and had Joshua on the Floor! 2 years earlier, did he have Fury buzzed at any point? Parker?..Good fighter, nothing special as it turned out.
