Vergil Ortiz Jr vs Ryan Garcia Possible?

Apparently, he beaten Ortiz twice in the amateurs, I want to know what his odds are now.

If Ryan was caught by Mean Machine instead of Campbell it be lights out for him.

Vergel is fundamentally pretty sound. Working behind that killer jab I think he takes fundamentally challenged Ryan out inside of 6.

Zero chance it happens. It would be a fire fight thats for sure but it be idiotic of GB to pit 2 of the best budding stars in boxing, from his stable against one another this early in thier careers.

Just can’t see Oscar putting all his eggs in one basket
He has more leverage with two superstars in his stable

            Not gonna happen.

            Virgil will meet Spence/bud winner

Ryan meets Josh Taylor at 140 I believe.

Oscar De La Hoya stated years ago that the two would fight eventually, and now that they are in weight divisions that correlate with each other, I thought it might have been possible now for the fight to happen.

Also what is the likelihood that Ryan Garcia will actually manage to get a mandatory against Josh Taylor? since he is contemplating moving up due to Crawford.

GBP has put stars in the same ring before. It’s possible, but not now. Hopefully GBP doesn’t pull a Bob Arum and over marinate the fight.

But honestly fights between two undefeated fighters are overrated. Who cares if each of them, or one of them, lose before facing off? If Ortiz loses to Crawford or Spence or Ennis, and Garcia loses to Tank, Haney, or Taylor, for me, that doesn’t kill the fight. They could each have 2-3 losses to other good fighters and I would not care. Or one guy could have a loss or 2 and the other one undefeated. Doesn’t matter. It’s the action and are they still top fighters?

Would anyone really miss out on watching Wilder vs Joshua because they have a couple of losses to other top HW’s? Would anyone be against Usyk vs Wilder because Wilder has 2 losses and Usyk is undefeated? Is the only great fight between two top 10 HW’s only Fury vs Usyk because they are undefeated champions?

I prefer both Garcia and Ortiz get some more veterans in their resume, and even look more vulnerable as they move up. Rather than have this false sense of seeing the “best” because they are undefeated.
