Broner vs Figueroa: Adrien Broner admits fault for latest press conference antics, says he’s on good terms with Al Haymon and Showtime
Broner admits his frustration got the best of him.

Not long after Adrien Broner made another spectacle of himself — and not so much in an endearing way — following yesterday’s virtual press conference for his Aug. 20 fight against Omar Figueroa, Broner took to his Instagram account to admit he might’ve acted out.

According to Broner, it was simply a reaction to a building frustration that he did not properly channel, and that he really has no issues with Al Haymon nor Showtime executive Stephen Espinoza.

“Listen man, I was just frustrated with a lot **** that’s going on in my life. Me and Showtime Boxing and Al Haymon have no problem whatsoever,” Broner wrote. “Playas **** up and stand up men can own up to a mistake. (Showtime) and Al Haymon, we locked in for life. I love ya’ll, see ya some weeks. Let’s go.

“P.S. I meant everything I said, that press conference on a zoom blew me like a woman in the MGM trying to get picked up for $250.”

If Broner truly intends to make another run at a world title as he’s been consistently saying as of late, one would think he needs to focus a little bit more on making sure he puts on a captivating performance than all the extra stuff he seems to surround himself with. In just one month’s time Broner will have an opportunity draw attention to his fighting rather than his antics, and that will be the real telltale sign of his future prospects.

I still think he needs to go pleading to Hearn to be a trial horse. Broner isn’t funny anymore, he doesn’t try to win the big fights, he’s a tease.

I don't know Broner's contractual ties, but he seemed to have options. Broner comes across like someone who doesn't truly have enough confidence to leave the comfort of PBC. At this point in his career, he should be a travelling mercenary.

Broner's career was over the second he said he was fighting Maidana or Lucas next, you could tell in the Paulie fight he couldn't crack a egg at 147.

He wasn't professional enough to stay at 135 for a bit longer then eventually go to 140.

BOXINGISGREAT, you got it all wrong. First off I don't call any fighter a bum who puts their life on the line to feed themselves and their family regardless of their talent level, and my experience people who call other people names usually are the biggest losers and hate their own lives so much that they get satisfaction calling other people names, regardless back to GGG, GGG has had his fair share of B and C level opponents, but the biggest killer of B and C level past their prime opponents is this dude called Crawford that some of you guys get all wet over and call supposed "P4P best" with absolutely no credible wins to warrant that, picking up paper belts along the way doesn't make you P4P best....

Trying to shame fans for making comments about fighters all while you take a dig at Bud's record. He's a 3-division champion....one of which he was Undisputed in. What have you done with your little life besides put on your cape and virtue signal??? Probably not much.

And from MY experience, those who actually step foot in boxing gyms, works out a bit, then hits the pads are usually the ones who get online and act like they're holding it down in the gym and protecting the honor of those do step in the ring. Cho ass up!

Let's be honest... Al Hayman isn't going to diner with Adrian Broner but Al realizes that showman like Broner pay for his dinner.
AB is a sideshow and sideshows are marketable. Broner will only have a problem with Al when boxing fans realize that Adrian is just showing up for his check. There are just so many times that Broner can face adversity, drop into survival mode, fail, and then deny the loss before people figure it out.

Since we have our honesty hats on.....it's worth mentioning that there isn't a lot of difference between Danny Garcia and Adrian Broner, both are there for the pay day, period.

Danny is just better matched and a much better business man. Broner is the better showman but he is impulsive and a TERRIBLY short sighted businessman, but make no mistake, both are there for a payday.

Broner is/was and always will play the Heal. Some of you are like... "But but he apologized!" Lol. Do you think anyone promoting this fight wants broner to act any other way? He is selling tickets, drumming up interest... broner has had his hand raised under sketchy circumstances many times... Probably because he sells fights.

Nobody with any sense believes broner is coming back and will compete at the apex any longer. He was exposed long ago... I actually agree with larry that as a natural talent, initially, he had all the talent and potential to make that run. But he never developed those gifts and never found a bearing. a weight where he could fight comfortably and develop his traps, his shots, etc. Instead he went cherry shopping and it caught up with him, along with never developing the skills to set up against guys who were not smaller than him.

But Broner had/has another gift: people will pay to watch him catch a beating... And he still can hang in there long enough to make it through so when he is beat up by a fighter with no name, Broner gets his had raised anyway.

Broner is hardly a young 32.. Heis more like 32 going on 52 with the way he lives...
