The old “the guy that’s paying me is killing every sparring partner going and they’re getting packed off, but I’m still here, so what does that tell you about me???” story.

Can fully believe that Usyk, or any fighter, might well be in assassination mode during camp. Just the readiness of young up-and-comers to promote themselves with the exact same training camp story each time makes me laugh.

who would you get in to replicate Usyk - can't be easy to find a few like that - maybe cruiserweights but even 99% of them are not as light on their feet as U

Michael Hunter or a fast cruiser.

Usyk's feet are actually not as quick as they were at 200 which isn't surprising as he's hauling a few extra lbs around and is a few years deeper into his 30s.

Joshua will never in a million years outbox Usyk so he needs to practice closing the ring down and how to impose his size when he does.

The only way he wins is by making the fight all about size.

Just imagine if Usyk took the fight to Aj with lots of combinations per rd, he has the footwork & hand speed.
After a rewatch Aj is a few gear's slower than Usyk & was clueless against a constantly moving target mostly just pushing out 1 punch at a time just to touch Usyk especially rd 7 onwards, he couldn't throw a combo.

i had mentioned in another thread- and it might be off the wall let me know- but first thing I thought of when he hired Garcia was that Bam Rodriguez would be perfect to have move around with AJ.

Obviously not a hard spar -because like the other poster mentioned, we don't need AJ getting sent home early.

                Please.
AJ is going to do a demolition job on Usyk in the rematch.
                Thanks i needed a laugh.
When has Aj ever demolished a moving target? He's alway's avoided them for a reason with mostly shot slow static only good for 5/6 rounds 38-41 yr olds.
No coincidence the last 2 he boxed of his own generation both beat him xD

He seemed genuinely intense like he was ready to throw down then and there, which stood out to me because Usyk isn't typically like that.

Perhaps the war in Ukraine has really affected him (why wouldn't it) and he's coming into this one more emotionally charged than usual.
I think Edward noticed that & tried to break it plus Aj was fidgeting.

Speak for yourself! I read this and was terrified! Usyk in a bad mood? Can't even imagine it! I am staying right here next to my German Sheppard mix!!!
