Taking risks and chasing greatness should be difficult !

But it doesn't get the respect it deserves.

Fighting bums, journeymen and KO victims waiting to happen gets all the NSB glory

It blows my mind how folks don't see how badly Benavidez would smash Canelo. Much bigger, faster, far more output than canelo, he literally throws twice as many punches per round, killer jab, and at least just as powerful. Canelo has nothing to offer. The notion that Benavidez is easy to hit is fantasy, let alone that he is tough as nails and will hit you 3 times as much for every punch he eats. He stops Canelo brutally mid rounds. It won't even be close.

I have said it many times before. Canelo NEVER steps into the ring with Benavidez. Quote me on that.

Would you hold it against Nelo if he doesn't fight him ?

huh? Of course I would, it would be one of the biggest ducks in history. Benavidez is the ring #1 at 168 and Canelo is undisputed. It is THE fight to make in boxing, yet Canelo and his fan boys pretend Benavidez does not deserve it.

That is why Canelo will never fight Mexican or American with Mexican heritage. He can`t afford to lose his fans.
I think Bivol would easily whip Benavides, therefore he is the most dangerous fighter for Canelo.

You're right Benavidez is a threat to Canelo's throne at 168. If the Mexican American were to beat Alvarez, ginger would lose his titles and he wouldn't be able to say things such as "this isn't my weight class". And as you mentioned before Benavidez would siphon off some of Canelo's star power.

Do you think these bigger guys, who may or may not beat Nelo, would ever move up and chase greatness ?

I'm not trying to insinuate chasing greatness is a good thinbg, mind you.
We all know losing is the biggest sin there is in boxing !
Chasing greatness may cause a guy to lose.
NSBers have made it abundantly clear how losing is a big no no
