  • Comments Thread For: Brandun Lee To Face Will Madera On Paul-Rahman Showtime PPV Undercard 8/6

Brandun Lee has an opponent for his first fight since Zachary Ochoa ended his long knockout streak. BoxingScene.com has learned that the undefeated junior welterweight contender has been contracted to box Will Madera in a 10-round, 143-pound bout on the Jake Paul-Hasim Rahman Jr. undercard August 6 at Madison Square Garden in New York. The bout between Lee (25-0, 22 KOs), of La Quinta, California, and Albany's Madera (17-1-3, 10 KOs) will be the second of four fights Showtime will distribute as a pay-per-view event three weeks from Saturday night.

Madera is a solid boxer, but the way Verdejo blasted him out @ 135 and fighting a heavy-handed fighter in Lee @ 140, I’ll have to go Lee mid round stoppage.

      Nothing appealing about this card.

Name reminds me of the great Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee.

He would've been a huge star, and was the only martial artist that had the grace and free flowing style like his dad.

This guy Brandun the boxer, a very good fighter. Seen a couple of flaws in his fights but he might win a title.

Matrix was written with Brandon Lee in mind as Neo.

Cameron Dunkin (D & D Promotions) is NOT doing a good job with Brandun Lee! He should be fighting nothing but Top 10 140lb. fighters by now! Where's Shohjahon Ergashev? Where's Regis Prograis? MAN UP!

He was on the Spence-Ugas card. Rather lackluster performance that night

As I read the article, I was thinking about that Verdejo fight and the prospects of Madera having to face another heavy handed fighter like Lee.

I don't think he's as bad as that loss to Verdejo, he was caught early and caught cold. It happens. I don't think he can withstand the power Lee brings (especially at 140). I see Lee getting him before the 5th.
