I used to think like you. I understand your feelings.
I questioned how this Haymon character can keep over 200 fighters happy, most of them inactive. That stayed in my mind for a long time. I'm not a Haymon fan or any promoter or adviser fan. I'm a boxing fan. The odd thing is no boxer has left him. The one that left came back crying after a few months.
One day, it suddenly dawned on me that maybe this guy is teaching them how to invest their money, small or big. That's why many are quiet and comfortable. He saves them some promotional and sanctioning fees too.
So, I have no position on Al Haymon, or care that much.

Great fuqing post sir. Great post! You now see that the hate for Al has nothing to do with boxing or promotional outfits or anything else like that. Some people just hate to see a certain face that's in complete control of the sport. TR caters to eastern euros and south of the bordornors, GB caters to Mexicans only and MR caters to UK fighters. Haymon caters to fighters from all over the world from impoverished areas. The US ******s and barrios, Mexico, the Caribbean, Africa, eastern europe and Asia. He shows them how other promo companies have been dyking them forever and shows them a better way. TR has been sued over 100 x's, Canelo sued GBP to get out and soon Ry will do the same and MR is losing fighters at a rapid pace because they don't want to be stashed away on an app that no one is looking at in the US or UK. Al is the only safe haven for boxers that want equal pay for an equal day of work. If you love boxing then you have to love boxers. War boxing!
Unlike most promoters where the relationship ends after your last fight, I heard Haymon still stays in touch (Paul Williams, one of his first clients). Some also get paid the minimum if they don't fight for the whole year.
I wouldn't leave that arrangement.Comment

I think it's easy for the promoters to blame Haymon publicly because they know he doesn't do any press and will not come out and refute any of it.Comment

Wow what dominion over the sport. A complete **** trash bag welterweight fight.
This is the “control” Haymon has.
Single-hand relevant fighters across 17 weight classes.
Can you answer the guy again and not mention a welterweight fight or do you acknowledge thats all you have?
To the above bums still pretending Haymon’s roster is “international” like there isnt a clear racist hierarchy in all their shows I drop this:

Nice try. No ones falling for this s**t anymore.Comment

You can see him front row in the Ortiz-Berto and both Williams-Martinez fights.
You can see him bouncing and cheering like a little cheerleader every time the black fighter does anything thats not getting hit, hurt, dropped, or flattened.
Then he sits his ass back down.
Thats actually why he doesn't come out anymore.
Hes racist ass not getting the results he wants, so he hid so people wouldn't make fun of his reactions, and oh man were there going to be so many of them.
Literally every crooked trick in the book, barely any relevant fighters, nothing to show for it. He must be livid.
Explains his laughable hairline actually. Too much stress.Comment

Shut up shut your mouths with all of this trash! 40% of the articles are about promoters and what they said and what they are doing. This is the core of the biggest problem with boxing and why the Kardashians are bigger stars than the HW champ. Everyone is blaming each other. There likely is no truth anymore. It is like I am playing cards with my brother’s kids.Comment
