Floyld will get a lot of respect if he beats Pac. He is the P4P number 1 in my eyes so far. A win over Cotto will make him number 1 without a doubt, even if Marquez wins this fight tonight. However I personally feel Cotto is a tough fight for Pac on his size, power and timiing. I'm not sure if Pac can beat Cotto when I think about it VERY carefully. Compared to the true welter champs, Floyld has a better chance to win VS Manny, and I feel someone like Mosley, Paul Williams, and even Cotto have a better chance of beating him. This is due to their size difference mainly, but also they all have things that will make any defensive fighter have trouble.

Mosley has speed, power and stamina.
Williams has a huge ass frame, decent pop, and a great workrate.
Cotto has decent speed, power, and good timing.

The flyold that showed up to Oscar gets beat by all 3 IMO. Although I must note that it was a different weight and Oscar had everything in his advantage.

Floyd would absolutely get full credit for beating Pacquiao. Whether Pac is better than JMM will vary from person to person, but Pac has physical gifts that allow him to be just as effective now at 140 and 147 as he was at 126 and 130 fighting Marquez. That's why Cotto fighting Pac is a much more legit fight to boxing fans than Floyd-JMM. Maybe JMM makes us all look foolish and looks great at welterweight tonight, but Pac is already proven.

To put it short, no excuses if Floyd and Pac fight and Floyd beats his ass.

I agree. In boxing, you can't say take away this or that. Boxing is about everything as a collective, but some shine above others.

Floyld would not be Floyld without his refelxes and amazing eyes. He can watch your every move and has the physical gifts to adjust in a split second. Without them, he won't be the fighter he is.

That goes for Manny too. Manny is all about movement, speed and power punches.

I do think Pac is better then JMM overall. Styles make fights and JMM's style will always give Pac a tough time.
