It is a good fight. Bivol wins by UD.

This is actually a good development for Buatsi too, who despite pushing for a shot is simply is not ready for the likes of Bivol yet.

Let Bivol fight Zurdo, then Canelo / Beterbiev, and work on your game in the meantime. Someone suggested Buatsi v Callum Smith, that would be a decent step for Buatsi.

As for Bivol v Zurdo, I see a comfortable Bivol decision.

Yet Leo Santa Cruz still keeps his title months after being ordered to make a fight with Leigh Wood or vacate.

He's a very big boy at LHW too by accounts, apparently rehyrating past 200lbs which could well mean he's got 20Lbs on Bivol in the ring.... That may not be the decisive factor (and I'd pick Bivol by UD too) but it is a factor that shouldn't be overlooked. If I'm Bivol's team I'd be insisting on a strict testing regimen to start as far out as possible.

Zurdo is a big dude. This is a very good match-up.

Can't wait to see this fight. Bivol has admitted recently that he would love to fight zurdo since he talks a lot of bs about him.

Bivol is going to light him up too, Ramirez is way too damn slow to be effective against Bivols style

Well, I guess Oscar De La Hoya was right:

OSCAR DE LA HOYA CONFIDENT THAT GILBERTO RAMIREZ GETS NEXT SHOT AT DMITRIY BIVOL
                    July 1, 2022

“He is the mandatory (challenger),” De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy, told The Ring in a recent interview. “We’re excited the WBA is pushing for it. ‘Zurdo’ versus Bivol is probably one of the most anticipated fights today, along with many others. Bivol beat Canelo (Alvarez) easily and that caused no problems. Now ‘Zurdo’ can avenge that loss and get revenge for all the Mexican fans.

“His confidence level (is higher). When you’re surrounded by a great team, with a legend at the helm, it gives a fighter a sense of confidence and takes you to a whole new level, (especially) when you train, your mentality, when you go in the ring and fight. I’ve seen ‘Zurdo’ grow over these last several years we’ve had him. He’s 4-0, with 4 knockouts. It tells you a lot. I’ll maybe take .40 percent credit for that.”

Lets see if Zurdo actually takes the fight.

Too bad for Bivol because he has two big money fights in front of him in the form of Canelo and Beterbiev.

Not a bad fight and it is time to see if Zurdo can compete at this level or has a second gear.
