I disagree. He wasn't even blocking the shots, unlike what he did in the third. His hands were down and dropping lower as Figueroa continued to tee off on him.

He seemed unresponsive after he got dropped the first time. Figueroa threw a lot of punches that went unanswered for about 45 seconds. Castro weathered that storm and began to punch again.

Totally agree with Mares, I know we are in the era of protecting fighters but got dam wtf was that BS? With stoppages like that we'll never get great classic fights. Castro was literally in the middle making an adjustment, dipping and getting ready to throw a body shot at the time of the stoppage..SMH

That whole broadcast crew and the referee are fkn trash. Castro didn’t complain because it’s not his style. Not everyone complains when they get screwed. Trash. I’m glad Figueroa got robbed against fulton.

I can't stand the SHOWTIME crew. They broadcast like Golf broadcasters. They're boring, clueless, and gutless (they had a problem with the stoppage, but yet found a way to defend the referee). And Mares is a terrible addition. I surely miss Malinaggi....and the HBO crew.

Yes. We would've never had Gatti VS Ward as a classic if we had these new wave, glory whore, referees officiating that fight.....Corrales VS Castillo.....and other classics. These referees are compromising competitions.
