There’s apparently rumors circulating that Loma wants to return by this October; I really hope that’s true and not just hearsay.
As much as I think it’d be great to see him fight Haney immediately for his title or rematch Lopez, it doesn’t look like that how it’s going down. If we’re sticking to the top 10 in lightweight right now, I see some alternatives such as JoJo Diaz, William Zepeda and, possibly the most interesting, Issac Cruz.
By the way, everyone keeps bringing up his age; but for all we know he might have as much longevity as Bernard Hopkins. I certainly think he’s disciplined enough to keep it going till at least 38 (40 years old being his maximum).
I’m more concerned about the muscle weight he might have lost during his time in Ukraine; if he’s lost the muscle mass that he had built up to compete at lightweight then he might have no choice but to go back down to Super featherweight for his next fight. This ironically makes it a little more likely that a fight between him and Stevenson happens soon. Which is funny, cause I always imagined that would be Loma’s last fight.

That's good news. I think he tries to get undisputed at 135, then Stevenson. Although I wouldn't mind seeing him against Tank....but you know Bob isn't going to give the fans what they want. It's a bigger money fight than Stevenson

I guess Loma is tired off killing brainwashed Russians and would rather make fighters quit on the stool.

Is Tank even allowed to fight Loma without Floyd's approval?

Loma has already avoided Devin two years ago. Remember he was so scared he dropped the belt. He is not fighting Devin this year or any year. Devin is only getting better. The only fighter Loma will face is some basic top 10 fighter this fall. He is not fighting the top dogs at 135.

It’s a big money fight but it’s basically a kid in his prime and a great old dude with far too much boxing mileage on him. Loma could win if the kid hasn’t a great back up plan. I don’t see any promoter VOLUNTEERING to loose one of 2 paychecks

Loma is overrated and will lose to Tank, Haney and Shakur.
