Then when the "knockout" came, in the first sequence it doesn't even look like the last two shots connected. Then there was the weird moment where he just stood there for a whole second without moving and then started fake falling. I felt very su****ious of Rahman in that fight because he wasn't tired but his opponent was totally gassed - he could have got him out if he bothered to actually throw some punches.

That su****ion of Rahman makes me su****ious of this fight with Paul.

That said, I did think James Morrison has a lot of natural skill, plus reach. If he is fit and goes down in weight he could do well. Very naturally skilled fighter.

Rahman will get good money to take a dive. After the KO loss to Morrison, which seemed legit, I don’t think at 31 years of age, there is anyway to “sell” him as a future boxing star.
You are correct, Morrison gassed out after the 1st round and still managed to KO Rahman who looked like a decent boxer. Damn!!

Have you watched Oleg Maskaev vs Rahman Sr? It’s super eerie how Rahman’s KO was weird and odd just like how his dad was KO’d by Maskaev!

Some respect to Jake. Don't get me wrong, his hustle is next level and he can box a bit, knows the basics.

It's just that when I saw Rahman Jr get tko'd by Morrison, it looked pretty bad. Realised these sons like Morrison, Rahman and Evan Holyfield don't have anywhere remotely near the boxing talent of their famous dads.

most of the boxers you see in fights on tv have sparred before.

Rahman is a lot bigger than jake Paul, how much do you thiink weight will matter with the lower skill levels ?

If you think that anybody, anybody is taking a dive in the USA which could incur bribery, wire fraud, ******** fixing, fraud etc then you are absoloutley crazy, you'd get jailed over there for 20 years for that easily !

he has to shift a lot of poundage AND spar at fighting weight in a short space of time. I'm not sure man. He looks to have good form not sure how he's lost to Morrison to be honest. But why would a relative nobody be picked out last minute to pi55 on these JP fireworks though?

JP needs a name because he fights on ppv, rahman just like tommy only has a name albeit a last one, and I am sure that JP was very aware that tommy could no show again. what is the weight here, is it heavyweight ?

rahman also fought in april so unless he has been sitting eating pies all day he is probably in good enough shape- for him. Those heavy thuds whilst not snappy might just wreck jake paul, a nate diaz fight would do big money and he could lose that one too maybe, for a guy with 5 fights , its not bad competition at all,

I think tyson and john stopped the tommy fights from happening they do not want to be emabarassed with JP rubbing it in their faces, tommy is awful

cruiser 200lbs. Rahman was 225 for the morrison fight I believe.

Yeah me too just get the feeling like certain bods don't want this to happen. Leaving two days for an ESTA? Come on... this is supposed to be their profession.

I thought that Rahman Jr. looked like the much more professional boxer in his fight with Morrison. Rahman Jr. was calm and punched smoothly while Morrison looked like a wild club fighter. Morrison was getting pieced up until Rahman Jr. got a little too careless. Morrison looked gassed early, but he kept throwing. When the fight ended, Morrison looked like he was 100% spent and he was definitely relieved that it ended. It seemed like a bit of an early stoppage to me.
