I saw Rahman jr. against Kenzie Morrison, but only the last round or two. Tommy Morrison's son looks like he knows how to fight. He put several well timed, well placed, hard shots together and got Rahman outta there. I was disappointed for Rahman, since I never really saw him fight. I'll have to watch the entire fight later get a clearer picture of what took place and why
That Rahman Morrison fight was weird. Morrison gassed out literally after the first round lol. I thought they both had a lot of skill but Morrison was completely gassed and looks like he hasn't been to a gym. Rahman seemed to be trying not to win... Then when the "knockout" came, in the first sequence it doesn't even look like the last two shots connected. Then there was the weird moment where he just stood there for a whole second without moving and then started fake falling. I felt very su****ious of Rahman in that fight because he wasn't tired but his opponent was totally gassed - he could have got him out if he bothered to actually throw some punches.
That su****ion of Rahman makes me su****ious of this fight with Paul.
That said, I did think James Morrison has a lot of natural skill, plus reach. If he is fit and goes down in weight he could do well. Very naturally skilled fighter.
The better promotion would be to fight Shane Mosley Jr but that will be a real 1st smooth knockout of Paul. Rahman is going to take a Malik Scott Level Dive. The fact is in a real boxing match with his guards down and talking punches tells me he is an easy sell to take a dive for big money. No way they are letting him in to mess up the gravy train. what's the benefit?
