Khan and Froch are in a similar category for me. I don’t really like either guy in regards to personality but they always provided entertainment in the ring so I respect them both as fighters. I also have tremendous respect for Khan did for British amateur boxing without Khan and Audley there’s no DeGale, no AJ, no Campbell, no Joyce, no Whittaker etc. They really changed the game for amateurs in this country.

Agreed. I just think with the right matchmaking (everyone does it), Khan could have had a great career. Even after the losses to Canelo and Crawford, Khan’s name and money were more than enough to forge a path towards retirement as well as mending the trajectory his career took.
Khan could have fought Broner, Mikey Garcia, Thurman, and even PAC and then retired. Those were all winnable fights. But he goes after meaningless fights.

From 2012 onwards, Khan just chased paydays. He’s always been a money over legacy guy.———

Couldn't disagree more. For Khan the money & the legacy fights were the same. Paquaio & Mayweather. Amir's career never got back on track after Danny Garcia. It was exactly the same as Curry, who never could be on the right track post Honeyghan. Amir just goes down as one of many boxers who were amazing for a very short period. They shot up like a firework, enlivened the horizon with explosions then fell to earth as a damp squib. Other examples include Randolph Turpin, Zab Judah, Yuriarkis Gamboa & Ricardo Mayorga.Comment
