Every time an unbeaten champ comes along people always say he would rip through the history of the division and then the champ loses and makes those comparison look ******. You totally miss the fact that he has not had a run of elite fighters so it doesn't matter what his age is, he is not an ATG, period. The eventually losing part is just a side note, and unless he ages overnight, it will make all this ATG talk look silly - and even if he doesn't lose, the fact is he is not in an era where he can fight other ATG fighters so he cannot be lofted to another level. He could be 32 and unless he goes through a number of elite fighters, he is not going to be mentioned next to the ATG's, simple.

Facts. There's a reason why Ward immediately retired once the IBF ordered a mandatory fight between him and Beterbiev.

The only fight left for Ward at that time was an undisputed clash with Adonis. Ask him why he ducked that fight. Beterbiev and Bivol were not relevant at that time.
