Danny Swift became lineal when he beat Khan, who was lineal. That was arguably his biggest win next to Matthysse.
Some of you guys need to stop trying to rewrite history.
Danny didn't beat the man that beat the man that beat the man in the first place to become lineal.
so miss me with that bro.

Danny became Lineal when he beat Matthysse not Khan for reference guys. That was #1 vs #2 so was considered to be for the vacant lineal title. Danny vs Khan was for the Ring title but not the lineal title.

He's fighting Benavidez who was also once a 140 and 147 pounder so it's a good fight for his debut at 154. I still don't see him winning a title against the likes of Charlo, Castano, Tszyu, Fundora etc. But hey, let's see what we can do once he gets his shot.

Danny is best Garcia, much better than that little b_tch Mike everybody slobs about. But Garcia reminds be of 90's Oba Carr, good but not good enough to beat the belt holders, both have suffered the same fate. Good not great.

The Ring follows the same criteria that even crold1 and everyone else has declared: Champion #1 and Champion #2 fight, and the winner is lineal. The Ring grants the belt when those two fight. That means you can treat whoever holds the Ring as lineal.
When Danny Swift and Khan fought, Khan was 140 #1 and Swift was 140 #2.

That means when Swift beat Khan, he became lineal champion.
You're quoting Wikipedia - which has already been debunked. Notice the dark highlight, bottom right. It's not credible.

I get it - you all hate Amir Khan. The man was #1 at 140 when Swift beat him. Swift became lineal when he beat him because Swift was #2.

I like Danny a lot. He won me over with that win over Matthysse.
He was a very good 140lb fighter.
A decent 147lb fighter.
But, he will be an average 154lb fighter.JakeTheBoxer likes this.

Amir Khan had just lost a fight prior to fighting Danny so his ranking was questionable. Garcia became the consensus lineal champion after beating MatthysseJakeTheBoxer likes this.

Did he? What’s his best win Matthysse? Postol stopped him in fairness. I’d say it’s a lot closer than people think opposition wise. Crawford also became undisputed and lineal, he definitely had the better run at 140 IMO.
