This is what I don’t understand, if fury really thought Usyk was easy work for him then he would have no problem fighting him if he beats AJ.

Beating an undefeated generational talent like Usyk would do more for his boxing resume than beating AJ who has already been beaten by two men.

not only that, he would become undisputed and cement his name in the pantheon of the all time greats, he would be up there with Ali, tyson, Lennox etc

I don’t get why he just won’t take that 1 more fight, it’s literally ONE fight and then he can retire with no questions asked by anyone.

The only thing I can think of is that fury knows Usyk is a dangerous fighter and very very risky

When he was faced with adversity against Usyk, he lacked it, stopped trying to win and looked like he was near death at the final bell. In those moments, he’s cool with being 2nd.
There you go!!! I was hoping to get through one comment stream without someone talking about someone ducking someone else.
This is why I don’t fully understand the vitriol against GGG. He has brought us a lot of good action in the ring, but over and over so many call him ducklovkin
and hate on him because of decisions that were made that involve many people and subtle nuance!

Yea this is true. His fan base is a mountain of casuals who desperately need a reason for a night on the pyss and a group influenced punch up on the underground

You know... You see a table, a rug... it looks incredible, you take it home and... ayyyy something is off, but you just sort of shrug it off and say, "perfect!" I see Joshua in a similar light. Everything seems right with the package! But something really isn't... But hey, hes a handsome lad, says the right things, lol.

I often think how we will never really know the really talented people we never see Oldskool, as George Bernard Shaw said, "the Barbers, Taxi drivers who really know how to run the country... " or in this case, those kids hidden somewhere that could REALLY be the next Great heavyweight... BUT we do get a standard regardless... and I agree with Bread that the ring is a truth machine. Any imperfections will come out. Klitchko's genius was to acknowledge his and shamelessly become a hugger... and it helped being in a weak division. I think Joshua is coming into the makings of a stronger division, with Fury and Usyk at the top, and some of the prospects coming up the ladder... I seriously doubt he can beat Usyk. But one never knows lol.

No words are better than this to describe this upcoming fight. Joshua has become content to finish 2nd. Let’s see if he can dog usyk out. Sure his fans will feel Joshua won if he manages to stay on his feet alone.

Putting money on Usyk by KO

Don’t see how AJ can avoid this outcome

When’s the last time he looked good?

KOed by Ruiz, looked uncomfortable against Takam, Povetkin was lighting him up until getting clipped, Parker was borefest, Usyk schooled him

AJ has the tools to win but how is the tool Garcia going to help with unorganized bum-rushing like Maidana? Absolutely no clue what AJ was thinking picking this guy. Look and down his gym. If Mikey (a bit robot and technical like AJ) had fought Lomachenko instead of ducking him, we would know if Garcia could train for that type of fight.

Fury making usyk sound like a very good opponent for himself for when fury unretires to restore josh honour.
But you think fury is playing mind games sometimes in hope it inspires Josh to prove fury wrong. But it might make usyk want to live up to fury expectations and it backfires on fury?
