He had no intention to make 144 in the first place. I'm sure he had a good camp, he looks strong and is ready to go.
Floyd Not Making The Weight....

I think the contributing factors are:
- He's gained natural bulk during his lay-off
- Disorganised training camp, lots of distractions & media circus
- (Possible) Contract confusion. All the conflicting reports indicate this
I reckon he realised he would have to drain himself for 144lbs early, and stopped trying to make weight and just aimed for 147lbs/146lbsComment

He did look pretty big since the start of 24-7 I give you that but still he didn't even had to dry to make the weight so I don't think it would have been hard for him to get to 144.I think the contributing factors are:

Maybe it could have had something to do with the layoff? All I have heard is that Floyd wasn't confident in making 144 so he renegotiated... Floyd isn't the type to try and dehydrate loads and then rehydrate and pile on loads of weight overnight.
Something weird has gone on... I have a bad feeling about it.Comment

I mean, you look at Floyd... and he should be able to make 144, but I just think he aint the type to try and dehydrate himself... like Pacquiao, Cotto and Mosley do... which loads of guys do so I aint complaining... but when you look back on his career he has never seemed like the type to dehydrate himself... he would rather make the weight properly... hence why he only really ever rehydrate a few pounds over night.
To be fair, we would have probably seen the same fight night weight if Floyd weighed in at 144 as he does at 146... he never really bulks up (but I gotta agree, his body may have changed through the layoff and also one of my mates straight away said that he thinks Floyd has gotten bigger on top).Comment

He probably could make 144 (unless like I said his body changed through lay off, if his fight night weight tonight isn't lime usual by quite a bit we could say maybe he couldn't, but before he retired he looked like he could), he would just have to like dehydrate himself to the weight, like Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, Pacquiao, Williams and loads of other fighters do, but he has never seemed like the type to do that... I mean he puts on a few overnight but not much, if you check back on his career and have a quick look I think you would notice it.
I aint defending him by the way, I think something weird has happened and I kinda feel bad for JMM, cause whether it makes a difference or not hes kinda been messed about... but I am just trying to be fair.Comment
