They need to have confidence so Idc if they thought they won but the fact they talk about, they know it's debatable so do it again.
I think it was a clear robbery tbh. There was a clear winner on the night and he didn’t get the decision. Not saying it was one sided but Catterall definitely did enough. I had it 114-111 Catterall and I could have had it wider tbh.

Classic case of the opponent taking over for 3-4 rounds and people begin spouting "better not rob him!" when the fight isn't even half over. Taylor won more rounds, won the fight.
Im a fan of both. I've been a Catteral fan longer, as he's been a pro longer. But I'm a bigger fan of Taylor as he's my fellow countryman. It was definitely closer than people are screaming about, and from a UK standpoint, if that fight was against an international opponent for Taylor, there would be nowhere near the same furore as there has been here. And the criticism has been pushed to personal levels, which is disgraceful. I scored the fight a draw personally. There were a lot of close swing rounds. Catteral done little but go backwards in the 2nd half of the fight. He scored a lot of eye-catching shots, but Taylor lands a lot of shots that are just touching shots. They're like little close in jabs as he's looking for better openings. Now these are not powerful, but their still scoring shots, and you know for sure many people disregard these and only count power shots. If that were the case you'd only have to single out the best shot per round to decide who won it. But that's not how it works. It was definitely a close fight. And that was a shocking performance against imo a career best for Catteral. So if Taylor performs as he can, I think he'll prove his point.

He's received a lot of personal abuse against his fiance and sister. It's disgusting. He's every right to be angry. The criticism has been too excessive.

And yet, still the first UK fighter to be undisputed in the 4 belt era. As Ken Buchanan was the first in the modern 2 belt era. Jealousy is not a good look for you.

In your opinion. I'm good with the draw. I'm hoping for the rematch

Taylor got seriously schooled by Catterall in that fight in front of his people.

That is what happens when you insist on fighting in your own backyard. You put pressure on yourself and when schooling happens, you're so embarrassed and wish to disappear.

Not to mention the excessive amount of kumbaya coverage before the fight celebrating the headliner. I'm guessing Josh Taylor wasn't able to train properly due to the camera people following him around always trying to capture kumbaya moments. Oh man, why do they want to go through with that superficial stuff. Sweet Caroline hasn't even been played yet.

Have you watched the fight back? The vast majority of people felt Catterall won that fight not just me. To have a draw you need to have given Taylor 6 rounds and a share of a round, that’s simply crazy.

No I've not watched it back. And I've no desire to, it was a dreadful fight. Yes I gave Taylor 6 Catteral 5 and one even. If it helps you I scored it as Victor Loughlin did with the exception of one round I couldn't split. So I scored it 10, 10 which I rarely do, and generally try not to, but I don't want to be biased to my favoured fighter. I'm aware most saw Catteral winning. But not all. And that has included professionals. I didn't see Catteral winning. He was too negative for the majority of the 2nd half of the fight, and didn't rip the belts from the champion. But I didn't see Taylor winning as he had a massive sub par performance. I'm good with the draw. There are different opinions, and that is mine, just as you have yours. Bring on the rematch.

Completely agree with all of this. I thought Taylor won, but overall I thought it was one of those fights where going either way or a draw was fair. People are acting like the second half of the fight didn't happen - Caterall fought in tiny spots here and there, Taylor dominated it.

It was in no way shape or form a robbery.

I’d advise rewatching it cause there’s no way in hell Taylor won 6+ rounds. We can all get it wrong on the night, I scored Pac-Horn a draw on the night and went back and realised Pac clearly won. It will likely give you another perspective.
