You can see that everyone who fights Beterbiev starts to lose their nerve the closer to fight night. Then during the ring walk, you can see the body language is all wrong. I could see how tense Joe Smith was coming into the ring. You could see it with Browne and Gvozdyk too. Watch how Yarde's whole demeanor changes on fight night. Guys literally lose their nerve fighting Beterbiev. Especially now after he beat tough-guy Joe Smith Jr.

I did notice doubt on the face of Yarde at the fight and deep down he knows he is in for a torrid time. I think Arum/Warren are pushing him into it.

Indeed. It's called prize fighting and I'm sure he needs the money. Plus he's probably thinking; "one lucky shot and I get 3 belts and a ****load more money, so...". Then again, that's probably what Smith thought.

Yarde is horrible TBH, even calling him a hype job is too kind. The guy makes Eubank Jnr look humble and self reflective.

Nope. Yarde doesnt punch harfer than Smith and he doesnt have the stamina Smith had. The fist 3 or 4 shots took Smiths legs. You could see how stiff he got up from the first real knockdoown.

I don’t think there’s any basis for who punches harder so I wouldn’t claim to know either way. You are 100% correct about the stamina, Yarde probably gasses in 4 rounds if he somehow learned the boxing fundamentals he would need to survive that long.
