I read that the Nevada Atheletic Commission is unhappy with that Mayweather did. The commission nearly penalized $1 Million but didn't, anybody knows why?

if he would've weighed in at 147 then they would've fined him 20% of his purse OR $1M......instead of 10% for 146......I don't know why but thats what I read!!! -
2 pounds over (146 pounds): 10 percent of his purse, or $1 million.
3 pounds over (147 pounds): 20 percent fine or $2 million.
Like you I'm not familiar with commission rules.Comment

Well he renegotiated the contract so that he could come in over 144 so that shouldn't be it. The only reason I can think of is the late submission of his contract to the commission, they were quite unhappy about that. Marquez' was submitted a few days ago, Mayweather and his camp didn't submit their contract until the morning of the weigh in.Comment

$10m base sum. There will be a lot of supplements topping up that fee though
I think he narrowly escaped the $1m fine from this dodgy "re-negotiation" that seems to have occurred at some pointComment
