Big fan of the gameplan they chose to win this fight. That said, idk if this would work vs Stevenson.

Are all Cuban fighters southpaws? Can't even remember the last orthodox Cuban fighter.

Impressive performance and even better finish by Ramirez. Hoping he continues to grow as a professional. Robeisy started his pro career late and inau****iously. At 28, he needs to pick it up a little faster than most.

I read somewhere the Cuban amateur coaches take natural orthodox fighters and convert them into southpaws. Must be true. No way that high a percentage of lefties is natural. It’s estimated that only about 10% of all people are southpaws.

It makes sense from the Western fencing school of thought. The arm closer to the opponent does most of the punching so lead with the more naturally adept side. Punches from the rear "weaker" arm can leverage greater torque from the legs and hip and twisting of the upper trunk.

That was Bruce Lee’s thinking when he incorporated fencing techniques into Jeet Kune Do.

Ramirez was very confident, and rightfully so. Great performance! He fought with determination and emotion.

Impressive performance although I think Nova was ripe for the taking. He's big and hits hard but he's a bit wild with his punches, reckless with his defense and had shown questionable punch resistance in previous fights.

Robiesy is immensely talented but I had a hard time pulling for either him or Nova. They both come across very arrogant. After he sparked Nova out, Ramirez seemed to be excessive in his celebration and taunting while Nova was still be administered to by the ringside personnel.

Man that straight left that Robeisy landed on Nova was packed with TNT, and exploded on Nova's chin.
Nova was left strewn on the canvass like a casualty of war, it was that definitive of an ending to the fight.

Those are my observations as well, with Robeisy being the sharper, and more technical boxer/puncher.
While Nova was trying to be the weight bully in their fight, and getting the tables turned on him.
Robeisy couldn't control his emotion's after the fight, due to the fact that this was a dangerous fight for him.
That said it's never a good idea to celebrate gleefully, while your opponent is lying on the deck, and his condition is still in doubt.
I would like to see Robeisy in against the following fighters: Navarette, Magsayo, Russel Jr, Warrington, and Vargas.

Nova says that he's moving up to 130 a few fights there would be a good him, with a possible move up to 135 pounds.
He used to compete at 140 pounds in the amateur's, why would you drop 14 pounds as you got older, and turned pro.
Just so you could have a height, weight, and reach advantage on your opponent's, well you see how that turned out for him.
