    This is getting ridiculous lads

Once again a jumpy ref stops a fight just as it’s getting interesting when Joe Smith wasn’t given a fair chance to prove he could’ve gotten out of the round and possibly launch a comeback. He was a little shaken but it’s not like he was out cold like Manny against roided JMM or falling all over like Berbick the guy was shaken but fighting back. There was no reason to stop the fight that early the ref shouldn’t be near this level again.

    It's 2022

In this day and age Benn vs Mclellan would have been stopped in round 1 and Benn would have been robbed of causing mclellan a lifetime of disability

My point is fights get stopped earlier nowadays.

Well I’m not saying I wanted smith to be crippled just given the chance to see if he could make a fight out of it. If he got dropped heavy then stop it but the lad was on his feet and ready to hit back. Given how jumpy refs are today it’s amazing it wasn’t called after the first KD. Smith earned the right to take a few more punches

He got dropped/hurt 5 times in less than 6 minutes.

Only a sadist would have wanted that to continue.

He was done. No autopsy needed on this one.

Normally I would be on your side. Rolly was stopped a bit early vs Tank and it should have been let go on a bit longer because he was probably winning the fight and would likely have regained his feet (or killed lol)

but Joe Smith had ****ing NOTHING for Arthur. Barley landed a punch and was totally outclassed in all departments. Arthur was like x2 as quick. Also that counter punching…… fantastic

If joe smith looked capable of landing something big or turning the fight around the ref may have let it go on

But the ref watched joe smith take everything flush beter was throwing he had no defence for anything beter offered

plus he turned his back and had no clue where beter was hence he wasn't defending himself...the ref stopped it at the right time

Rolly was finished against tank his eyes were completely gone and his facial expression when he was put down was absolute shock and confusion ...he didn't know where he was and I'm a big rolly fan so I'm glad he took less damage than people wanted to see as in the future I think rolly has a chance beating anyone at his weight as long as he keeps that confidence and learns from his wreckless lunge

rolly hurt tank several times but tank has a great poker face and mental clarity to come back with something of his own ,he really is a great fighter but I believe rolly can be his match and win a 12 round decision in the future

Well it was only round 2 I say give the lad a chance it’s a unified world title fight the ref could’ve let it go at least a few more minutes maybe rounds. Joe wasn’t getting killed he just needed to get his feet under him plus I don’t see Arthur as a killer more of an accumulation of punches type guy so if Joe got his hands up catching punches he might have turned it around later in the fight.
