He will get hit because he's an offensive fighter, but not as much as other fighters. Check the % that landed last night, very low. If he's too defensive, is bad, "Cubans are runners" if he is a trigger-happy, he's getting hit too much, just like they are posting about Morell jr and now Ramirez, and in both cases, the % that landed was very low. And in both cases, they seem to measure their opponents and know what to do. I saw a combination of boxing IQ, killer instinct, and some defense with payback, he got hit a couple of times but nova wasn't a bum, he was very confident and didn't quit, he was in the fight till the end.Comment

Yeah... I was super excited about Robeisey turning pro but that debut loss has cast a long shadow... I think though after watching him go from strength to strength Im finally ready to chalk that one down to debutante's nerves or somesuch. Very, very impressive performance last night.
On an unrelated note, have you been following the chess candidates matches? Never fails to amaze me how the top guys play with almost machine-like precision. Oh, to play that way. LolComment

I thought that loss make him better for future fights. That night he wasn't in the fight, he looked too cute, with hairdo and all the other $h1t, like he was in a movie set and not in a fight. I told my son I didn't like his attitude and projection, after the fight I say that he was going to change trainers and attitude, or he was finish.Comment

Same here. I think I’m finally over it. Although I had no doubts the loss was an anomaly, it made me question not his ability but his commitment. I was also unsure about Robeisy’s power. I got a convincing answer to that little question last night.

Haha Trust me, you’re far from alone on that. They call it “tilting,” where you swing back and forth between extremes. I was within 10 points of 2000 in 10 minute myself. But in 5 minute blitz I’ve been all over the map, from a high of about 1850 to about 1700. And I would describe it exactly that way, like I’ve forgotten how to play the game.Comment
