Comments Thread For: Robeisy Ramirez Sparks Out Abraham Nova With Big Left in Fifth

NEW YORK - Robeisy Ramirez recorded his most impressive win Saturday night since he stunningly lost his pro debut almost three years ago. The two-time Olympic gold medalist viciously knocked out previously unbeaten Abraham Nova in the fifth round of their scheduled 10-round featherweight fight at Madison Square Garden's Hulu Theater. A devastating straight left hand by Ramirez knocked Nova flat on his back and forced referee Charlie Fitch to immediately wave an end to their fight at 2:20 of the fifth round.

Nova: "I see me blowing out Ramirez". Nice seeing that arrogant punk get what he predicted, happen to him!

Impressed with Ramirez. Watched almost all his previous fights and he is progressing. At first I thought he had no chance to dominate in the pros like he did in the ammys. But i think he’s one of those fighters (like Loma) that’s going to need all challenging fights to produce great performances.

Ramirez is and has been one of my favorite fighters - I believed in him since day one and did not give up on him for all that went wrong for him in his debut and he has progressed greatly!
