if u think tyson had problems outside the ring, Douglas's mom just died a few weeks before the fight...
Douglas beat him, knocked him out, i hate hearing that the ref was slow, whatever the ref counts is what counts, Buster didnt know the ref was countin slow so he got up. Jack Dempsey should've beat tunney in the rematch, but tunney got up by 10. Now that was a robbery, but Tunney got up, and beat him.

true, but tyson was beated because he wasent as good as he could, he got problem outside outside the ring that he couldnt controll that affect him in the ring. so douglas wasent better rather tyson was not good

even so tyson could knockout down douglas with only 1 punch a prime tyson would punch those puncher all the time and headmovement would be to fast for douglas.

Tyson got robbed in that fight. No one liked him, and everyone wanted to see him lose. The ****ing ref slow-counted Douglas, and gave Tyson a faster count. Watch the counts, and you'll see that Tyson's was faster than Douglas' was. It was a bull**** fight, and Iron Mike should have walked away with a KO after flooring Douglas.

I never came from the era where tyson was in his prime i was maybe 2-3 years old then
But from the way he destroyed berbick, spinks, holmes, etc. and shocked the world...
How did it feel when he lost to Douglas? A opponent that he was expected to just walk through and destroy? Was it that big of a shock? and upset? I cant say cuz i never watch it then..

It was a huge shock! I new he was gonna lose while I was watching the fight and I couldn't believe it was happening. It took more than a week for it to sink in. I was sick!

Also, the reason Tyson lost and the reason he still isn't the same is because he fired Kevin Rooney! He has never been in shape for a fight since!

Yes, it was a huge shock. It was the biggest upset of all time. I remember being in Costa Rica on vacation watching the fight. My family, friends and I were thinking it was just another Tyson fight, you know, Tyson comes out and destroys his opponent. When he lost it was like WTF just happened?

i am not that old(only 20) so i was only 10-11 or something when he lost to douglas, but i have watch all his fights and a got good picture of how he fight, i reacted like everybody i was shock, tyson was invicible he couldnt lost and specially not to douglas.

Also, the reason Tyson lost and the reason he still isn't the same is because he fired Kevin Rooney! He has never been in shape for a fight since!

indeed, the first think i think after first round was who is that new guy? and where is kevin rooney?, and tyson face show weakness,confusing not like when kevin rooney was his trainer.
