Beterbiev has more skills and that vast amateur experience. With that said he likes to pressure and throw punches and it is why I give Joe a puncher's chance.

The others that beat Joe or gave him a hard time had very good legs with movement and angles. Beterbiev is not such an animal and doesn't have that one punch crushing shot like Joe.

It is a fight that captures the imagination.

Anybody thinking Smith Jr could get a decision or even that the fight could go 12 rounds needs medicine... Only chance for The Common Man is an early All-In-Hail-Mary in the first 2 rounds ... Other than that I see Beterbiev do his destruction work and bring Nice-Guy-Smith into submission ...

Beterbiev is a highly skilled and highly technical Fighter in his own style... Any pro Boxer will agree with that... You won't see him do circles and showboat though... Not his style...

Why are people talking as though Beterbiev is defensively irresponsible?

Marcus Browne was a slick southpaw who had fast hands and feet. When he cut Beterbiev he really failed to land anything significant after that. The cut was bad but it wasn't as if it was getting shredded open by Browne's jab or any power punches. I thought Beterbiev did very well to keep his head off-centre and stop any assaults to his face, head or cut.

Only Gvozdyk tagged him regularly and he had real pedigree and a skillset well above Smith's

I predict Smith starts fast and pumps out his jab regularly and tried to set Beterbiev up for a right hand power shot. Beterbiev circles backwards keeping out of firing range and as soon as his back hits the ropes he counters Smith, hurts him, turns him and lays a body attack into him. Smith will never have been hit as hard and won't know how to fight Beterbiev off as his arms are too long and he has no inside game. Beterbiev will maul him and break him down.

              TKO6 to TKO8 for Beterbiev.

Man this fight is going to be ****ing brutal while it lasts.

I hope Joe is getting paid well, because there might be a lot of pain experienced in this fight.

Having a jaw smashed twice is not a good thing against Beterbiev... Anyone who had a broken something in their life know that weak spot never really completely goes away...
