that 12th round AJ was getting destroyed and was wishing for the bell they saved him ringing it early imo
This is what I could understand, why people thought AJ would beat Usyk because Chisora did ok

AJ and Chisora are totally different. Chisora had made a career being able to use that constant pressure style and he’s strong as a bull and knows how to use his feet shd strength to get inside. a man big that knows exactly how to use that pressure style for 12 rounds will always give an ex Cruiserweight a problem to deal with.

If AJ tried to do what Chisora did, he would gas in 2 rounds. AJ is a big stiff upright boxer that fights in straight lines and gives you room to box with him because he can’t fight at a pace. Tailor made for Usyk.

He didn’t have a rematch clause with McCall. He had to start back from the bottom. And rightfully so.

Except he didn’t struggle with Chisora, that was just something a bunch of UK fans kept screaming about because they refused to acknowledge that Del Boys aggression was just aggression, and he was getting picked apart whenever he came in.

No I get that and I know the triangle theory is a load of bull but after Usyks underwhelming debut and then a close fight with Chisora

people inc me seriously started wondering if he could campaign at HW vs the bigger fighters when he was squeezing past the smaller ones I think it's a perfectly rational assumption to make and not based off style more based off size and power and the ability to control the fight

This time he will use his physical size advantage much better and KO Usyk. It's the only way for Fury to come back. Joshua is low risk high reward for Fury. If Joshua wins, Fury'll return and knock Joshua out and became undisputed.
Your predictions very entertaining keep it up sir lol

From many of the replies on here anyone would think Joshua didn't land a glove on Usyk first time around. The fight was competitive and quite close through eight rounds, then Usyk pulled away in the final third. The rematch is far from a foregone conclusion and Joshua won't necessarily need a KO either to get his titles back.

Personally I hope Usyk wins again because he's a lovely fella and the smaller man, though part of me does really want to see Joshua and Fury go at it before Fury runs off into retirement.

I can see AJ beating Usyk, mainly because Usyk mind is on Ukraine and I been hearing he’s been struggling in training.

But I also see AJ beating fury. I don’t know where this whole ‘aj is an easy fight for fury’ thing has come from. It’s not, AJ would be furys most difficult EVER opponent

but I’d rather see fury vs Usyk, that is the most intriguing fight

plus AJ spent like 6 months trying to decide what new trainer he wanted.

AJ has emotional/psychological issues. He freezes up in the face of adversity. Ruiz 1 he had the same thing, he just froze up. In the rematch he had a fatter unmotivated Ruiz and was able to box from a distance, it worked but Usyk wont come in out of shape like that in the rematch, he will be ready, he always is. Last time AJ was rocked by light hitting cruiserweight Usyk, he was legitimately afraid to be hit by him. He has to accept that Usyk WILL land on him and he shouldnt be afraid of a cruiserweights power but he has a mental block.

The strategy for the Ruiz rematch was safety first against a plodding obese fighter, that was easy to do. The strategy to Usky will be to press him and incur greater risk of getting caught, AJ doesnt have the balls to jump in the line of fire.

You're saying that after all the years that Joshua has been fighting, he's afraid to get hit? The reason he boxed Ruiz in the second fight is because he learned from the first fight. AJ thought he could blast Ruiz out of there in 3, but the little, fat, fucker can take a shot and deliver some hard ones too. Usyk had Joshua hurt late in their fight, after AJ ate shots all night and got gassed physically and mentally. He's not going to learn this whole new way of fighting; Garcia is there to hone existing skills and give AJ the confidence to go back to his seek and destroy roots, while avoiding getting caught and gassed. Usyk will get caught with a big shot and run for his life like he did against Chisora. Difference is, Joshua will catch him again and finish him.

He threw some nice short right hands. He didn’t look dreadful.

I don’t know what he can do to defend against Usyks backhand. Doesn’t have the feet to get out of range and fights in straight lines.

What do you think he can do?
