Joshua will KO Usyk

It wouldnt surprise me. Joshua didnt impose himself at all in the first fight. He hasnt had any urgency since before Ruiz. If he can get the fire back he has a shot but Usyk will have a lot to say about it. I think this fight ends inside the distance either way.Comment

Josh didn't do too bad in first fight. I'm sure Josh learnt from loss. He knows how good usyk is now, whereas before all Josh heard is how he struggled with chisora?Comment

lol this
Plus new trainer
plus AJ spent like 6 months trying to decide what new trainer he wanted.
AJ has emotional/psychological issues. He freezes up in the face of adversity. Ruiz 1 he had the same thing, he just froze up. In the rematch he had a fatter unmotivated Ruiz and was able to box from a distance, it worked but Usyk wont come in out of shape like that in the rematch, he will be ready, he always is. Last time AJ was rocked by light hitting cruiserweight Usyk, he was legitimately afraid to be hit by him. He has to accept that Usyk WILL land on him and he shouldnt be afraid of a cruiserweights power but he has a mental block.
The strategy for the Ruiz rematch was safety first against a plodding obese fighter, that was easy to do. The strategy to Usky will be to press him and incur greater risk of getting caught, AJ doesnt have the balls to jump in the line of fire.Comment

Lets face it.
Joshua is a great great fighter, but there are better fights out there currently and that includes Usyk.
Joshua needs to dig deeeeeeeeeep. Something is going on where he's not performing on all cylinders.
Lets hope someone on his team finds and corrects the issue. He has the power and seems to not use it to benefit him more and capitalize when he should be.
I want to see Fury vs Joshua because I know it will be more entertaining than Fury vs Usyk.
Hes got mental blocks, dude freezes up and yes doesnt perform anywhere close to his full potential. But its happened twice now. IDK what is wrong with him, with wlad he was able to get off the canvas and close the show. He had a deer in the headlight look on him from round 1 when usyk started using crazy movement, speed and angles. HE just froze up and had that shock expression on his face that stayed there all the way through the post fight interview.
In the rematch the pressure is even greater than the first fight, if he losses again his career is on the downward spiral. I think he folds again.Comment

Usyk probably stops him in a rematch. here is why: Joshua will try to make some pressure, to stop Usyk, the result will be he will gas out even faster than he usually does. Joshua was scared when Usyk started landing on the middle distance. Can you imagine a fireworks fight on close distance? That will bring up the memories on the first Ruiz fight and I don`t think that will go well for Joshua.Last edited by JakeTheBoxer; 06-15-2022, 12:48 AM.Comment

after Usyk faced Chisora I thought AJ would blast him out in about 6 or 7 rounds never expected Usyk to dominate like he did despite his talent so you never know what could happen but the smart money is on Usyk stopping him this time
that 12th round AJ was getting destroyed and was wishing for the bell they saved him ringing it early imoComment

Just rewatched the first fight.
AJ is so easy to hit
He can’t defend straight lefts to the body, even if he steps back it’s he’s too slow. His body is always available
Countering his jab with jab/hooks or just bringing his jab hand down to land the left hand again and again.
Just a big slow lumpComment

He can improve his tactics but its his MINDSET that is wrong and I don't think he can change that.
In the first fight after 4-5 rounds he should have thought OK this isn't working, and gone into big man mode and started headlocking, wrestling, squeezing, leaning all the rest of it, bullied Usyk physically.
He just doesn't have it in him, he's too civilized, he's got no bravado or "machismo" in him, he's AJ, Mr nice guy, kissing babies etc, that's what you get.
He's been like this since the Wlad fight which is YEARS ago now, he tasted his mortality in that fight and he's been mentally busted since. Its the most bizzare thing because you would have thought he would GAIN confidence for getting through that, but he is a very strange case indeed!
He can still win fights in which he out matches the opposition but in fights where he needs that little bit of extra nastiness, that moment when you reach down and pull out that extra 10%, well that 10% isn't there for Joshua.
He has a punchers chance, it's not impossible but Usyk win is by far the most likely outcome, probably on points again as I think Joshua will at least be a bit better conditioned this time.
