Tank isn't mandatory and Gustavo Lemos is the IBF mandatory.

Tank is actually mandatory, as per the WBA consolidation process to reduce titles. But Imo it'll probably be left until Haney vacates, and Davis gets upgraded.

tank (wba) and lomachenko (wbo) are his mandatories. ibf and wbc don't have mandatories at the moment. those two are the only opponents haney should consider if kambosos doesn't want a contracted rematch.

Lemos is the IBF mandatory. Expect a suit to be filed if the IBF doesn't order it in the next couple months.

i stand corrected. totally forgot about lemos. tank holds wba regular which equals mandatory position since they decided to eliminate interim and regular belts. romero was tank's mandatory and now he is haney's. it's not called though.

It hasn't been ordered yet. As I said in my post, I think it'll be left for the time being. But he should be the next mandatory, as all regular champs are mandatory to the super champs, as part of the title reducing consolidation process. Just as Dubois has become next WBA mandatory at the weekend at heavy by winning the regular. Just as Stanionis to Spence at WW. JUST as Leigh Wood is to LSC at feather etc. We just had one such example at the weekend there with Kyoguchi Vs Bermudez also.

Haney vs Tank may not be an interesting fight. Either Haney wins a boring decision, or Tank clips him. Haney vs Loma will be guaranteed action.

Yes your correct there. Most of the process has been between the former interims and the regulars. So the regulars fighting the supers has still to happen in a lot of cases. And like you, I don't think Davis situation will be at the top of the list. His people don't want to put him in with a fighter from another platform. And the WBA have been less urgent shall we say, where his situation is concerned, as opposed to others. I think Mayweather Promotions will be happy to wait out a vacant belt and be upgraded.
