People are too quick to judgment. Before saying, "you would hear it from me," he explains how he's a part owner of the PBC, and that Haymon is his partner. So, he was speaking from a position of authority and ownership, and not as a promoter. People should've seen the original media video.
It sounded like Floyd is ready to be the PBC front man, something they never had so far.

I made a topic two weeks ago explaining how involved Floyd actually is with pbc and dummies on this forum acted like I was lying, Floyd helped start pbc, and he's closer with al haymon then any pbc fighter, if he says the fight isn't close, he knows what he's talking about, but I'm sure these idiots will still chirp about how he's not involved, as if he has some reason to lie

Yeah, I saw your thread, and I thought it was cool, except for the part Floyd is gonna block the fight.

I was just speaking from the standpoint that it's well known that haymon has never wanted the Crawford fight, he's only been considering it now because Spence is refusing to fight anyone else, so I meant Floyd could maybe get in haymons head, and convince him they need to wait longer to build the fight up, it was just me guessing, but we know how Floyd like to prolong everything

I think what's happening is that Bud is trying to save on all the promotional fees he was paying Top Rank (about 30%) and represent himself as a free agent. However, this fight will have to involve at least two known promoters: Tom Brown and maybe MP (or someone else). That's how I see it anyway.
Outside of his boxing acumen, you guys give Floyd too much credit for stuff Al Haymon does in the background. Floyds entire career resurgence has been the braintrust of one Al Haymon. Sure Floyd works with PBC but that don't make him a partner, it is more of an arrangement, same thing Dibella and Golden Boy had. Dibella detailed it and he needed some control which is why he left. In a sense, Haymon controls everything and he is actually Floyd's boss in that realm at least the post boxing Floyd. Haymon's humility and business savy will not let him make those pronouncements.
Floyd is an asset so there's no need to alienate him but it doesn't mean Floyd pulled any strings to put it together 'cos for one, neither Spence or Crawford deal with him like that and he doesn't promote either fighter. Crawford will likely sign with Haymon in a managerial capacity for a couple of fights, TGB promotion will likely carry the event as the trusted Haymon promoter and Floyd will likely talk about it and that is the extent of his involvement. Look at all the big fights that has happened under Haymon and Floyd hasn't lead promote any except for a Tank Davis who he actually promotes. He could learn a few things from Haymon.
I think Crawford should sign with Mayweather. For the simple fact that, Mayweather seems very enthusiastic and compassionate towards Terrence Crawford.
No other promoters seem to care, or at-least they have not been as vocal as Mayweather.
These actions from Mayweather, should have some value for Crawford.
