Sky sport is in trouble. It appears to me that they may be very well on their way out of business. I know they signed a deal with Top Rank but they are left with a very small supply of fighters since Matchroom left and signed with DAZN and now Anthony Joshua has followed.

They should just sign deals with all the major promotional companies.

Who is left? So they have Top Rank, they should get some more.

I think it needs to be more than just UK based fighters, Sky Sports should focus on world boxing.

I could not care less about whoever they have signed of late, the Olympians etc.

Sky is a big platform and has massive financial backing, I think it’ll take time for the next set of Olympians to progress their careers, Boxxer is also a relatively new promotional company, which should grow with Skys push. The Top Rank deal is great and maybe they should negotiate one with the PBC, if contractual agreements allow. Sky is a good platform to promote to a casual sport audience.

Sky sports are absolutely massive in the UK, and can take a temporary lull in their boxing program with only superficial damage because they are practically the go-to platform for most other sports over here.

Not caping for them because I don’t admire any platform, but they’ll be back in boxing in a big way in the future

You are absolutely right. I was only referring to their Boxing content. Matchroom had the largest stable of fighters in the U.K and Anthony Joshua has departed as well. One can say what they will but their presence shall be missed.
