Comments Thread For: Dubois: I Think It's Good To Fight In U.S., Win Over The American Audience

Daniel Dubois isn't threatening a full-blown American takeover but does plan to make the most of his time on this side of the pond. The London-bred heavyweight contender has touched down in Miami for his upcoming challenge of unbeaten secondary WBA titlist Trevor Bryan. The bout takes place June 11 on an independent pay-per-view presented by Don King, Bryan's Hall of Fame promoter, from Casino Miami Jai Alai, marking Dubois' second straight fight on U.S. soil.

That’s the right attitude. Fair play to him for having the minerals to fight in the usa multiple goes as a contender. Shame that it’s not on a network though. I suppose no one wants to do business with DKP

America hasn't been relevant when it comes to heavyweight boxing in 25 years, why start now.

Nobody cares about Bryan or that WBA fake belt so this is not something most people are interest in. But DDD has a bright future ahead i believe

First of all the winner of this fight is not mandatory for the real WBA belt as they must first fight the winner of the Hunter/Hughie Fury eliminator. The winner of that fight then becomes WBA mandatory & hopefully by then this regular scoobie doo crap trinket will no longer exist when they finally get their shot at the real belt.

The only thing resembling a belt Dubois will go back to the UK with is the belt marks on his backside when Bryan whips his ass!!!! You can bet the the tool shed at the neighbours farm on it!!!!! Long live Don King & Hail to the future undisputed champion Trevor Bryan!!!!!

It will take more than beating an ordinary guy like Bryan for a phony belt to impress American fans.

Good luck with that. Many Brits have tried and failed. Not because their not good enough. Just because their not American. Thats not a criticism. Its only natural.

The winner of this fight is the mandatory. That's the consolidation process the WBA set out for reducing titles The interims are mandatory to the regular, and the regular is mandatory to the Super. Robert Helenius also won an eliminator. It doesn't mean much. Anybody can buy an eliminator from the WBA, their so corrupt. The winner of this fight will be the guy that gets the shot at, as it stands, Usyk. Neither are worthy of it. But that's a different story lol.

Dubois seena a nice quiet lad.

if he doesn't knock people flat. He is gonna struggle to make money.

                    Very shy.

Doubt that will appeal to Americans
