Mexicans have some of the most self-loathing people of any Latin American country in the world. A lot of you hate the best active Mexican fighter in boxing. And a lot of you hate the most popular Mexican-American boxer in boxing, too. It doesn’t matter where they were born or what language they speak. You are all just self-loathing. Ya’ll hate eachother.

Garcia and Canelo aren’t as hated by South Americans and Caribbeans as they are by their own people/ancestors. You are all an embarrassment. Just because they’re white Mexicans, you don’t like them. Okay, Ryan Garcia, you don’t like because he doesn’t speak Spanish. But what about Canelo? Dude barely speaks English and ya’ll still hate him. But David Benavidez, the Mexican-American with a limited resume, he gets a pass because he’s brown.

You can’t get more Mexican than Ryan’s parents. They’re straight up Mexicans. So what their son was born in the US and lived a good life? He really has to be some peasant from a crazy ass Mexican barrio and have ties to a Mexican cartel for him to be accepted? That’s bullsh/t. Self-loathing, look it up.
You must be some weird Argentine to seriously think that reverse white racism is going to work. I literally already told you why Canelo is disliked amongst a PORTION of the Mexican population.

Did/do you watch boxing on Televisa and Tv Azteca? If not then stfu. All of those who saw Canelo's career when he was being built (prior to signing with GBP) was always given the easiest pick of the litter....meanwhile Gallo Estrada, Cuadras (a WHITE MEXICAN), and even Oscar Valdez had to either go through the gauntlet in Mexico or go the Olympic route.

I know you just like speaking out of your ass but all the top guys in Mexico have to fight each other BEFORE they even get opportunities to sign with GBP, PBC, TR, or Matchroom.

And im seriously laughing that you consider Ryan a "white Mexican".....he looks nothing like Caleb Plant to me. And Canelo is a peasant from a crazy ass Mexican barrio where him and his father used to sell ice cream, and I am truly happy he doesn't have to live like that anymore. That doesn't change anything about what some might think of his career though.

And what does South America or the Carribean have to do with anything? Last I checked they are not boxing power houses.....sorry but Mexico has actual standards when it comes to boxing. We don't have to accept anyone just because.......if you are Argentinian then of course you do becuase you guys literally produce ONE figher every 10-15 years....and if youre Puerto Rican, well I know you guys have to accept Danny Garcia becuase you guys haven't had anyone since Miguel Cotto.

This is not a thread about Erislandy.

According to Politics he's a Chicano/Southsider. There's a big difference between homies and Paisas. We have each other's backs but divide ourselves among ourselves. Other people seem to hate on that, idk why?

Mexicans, like most countries, can be racist too. Both white on brown, and brown on white. I am not Mexican but I have been told by my Mexican neighbor about the racism in Mexico.

Canelo is straight up Mexican, born there, raised there, native Spanish speaker, and he is hated and rejected by some Mexicans.

But they accept David Benavidez, who’s American born. Sure he speaks Spanish but if that’s all that makes you a “real” Mexican then I guess I can claim Mexico is my country because I speak Spanish? Lol. They just like that Benavidez is a brown Mexican-American.

And as a Latino immigrant myself, nobody has the right to tell Ryan Garcia that he isn’t a “real” Mexican. If he wants to represent his ancestors, that’s for him to decide. He wants to come in with the Mexican and American flag, he has that right.

I think that’s a huge difference from the Caribbean and Mexico. Nobody from my country would tell me I am not from there because I speak English and live in the US. We all love and accept each other no matter what.

When Danny Garcia, a Philly fighter who barely speaks Spanish, went to PR to fight, he was cheered, not booed.

Some Mexicans are such self-haters, it’s like a different planet over there.
We are Indians and Spanish, some Mexicans have strong European traits and some have stronger Indian traits. Most Mexicans and Chicanos don't like to acknowledge either but prefer National pride, whether it be American or Mexican. I know some Mexicans take serious offense to being called "indio." Here in the USA we often have a friend nicknamed indio or crow... lol

Before Catholicism, we were a bunch of Indian tribes feuding with each other. Then after the Spanish conquest Mexicans continued feuding but as States. This tribal(ness) continued into the 19th century in the formation of Cartels and street gangs in the USA and Mexico. Still to this day the deadliest gang feud in US history has been between Southern and Northern California's Chicanos. Even as a non gang member or non affiliate, prison politics highly influenced culture here on the West Coast.

But don't get it twisted, although we fight among ourselves, we do have plenty of Carnalismo. We are not going to allow anyone to oppress us. You mess with 1 frijole your going to get the whole burrito and maybe some tapatio.
