The true Mexicans that I know laugh about him, if they have even heard of him. 1 in 5 don’t even know who he is
That’s not Ryan Garcia’s fault. Blame his parents for birthing him in the United States.

Mexicans want to leave Mexico to live in the US and raise their children there, the American Dream. Then hate on those who are born in the US, live a better life, due to their Mexican parents looking out for them and giving them that opportunity.

Those Mexicans “laughing” at Ryan Garcia are a bunch of fools. They’re laughing at the outcome of two Mexican’s “American Dream”.

No one cares. He hasn't proved that he can hang with any good fighter. Just all talk.

At this moment they will say he is not Mexican. The minute he wins a couple of fights they will say that he is a full Mexican.

Fact is, he’s Mexican. Wears Mexican colours and trains with Canelo team
Sorry pendejo but your point of view is coming from someone that grew up in the United States. Hate to break it to you but the rest of the world doesn't always view everything the same as you.

Ryan can't even hold a conversation with an actual Mexican.....

Yes, Ryan is mexican by heritage but he isn't even a Mexican American that tries to keep his Mexican customs. Plus we are talking boxing, and in boxing Mexicans and Mexican Americans hold different ideologies. Oscar De La Hoya is the greatest Mexican American to ever lace up the gloves.......he is hardly ever in the discussion of "Greatest Mexicans of all time".

And your Floyd example is ******. In todays age, African American is usually thought of as its own distinct group/classification. Erislandy Lara is a Black man from Cuba who now hold American citizenship, I doubt he would be in the conversation of "Greatest African American of all time" (pretending he was on that level of talent just for arguments sake).

Mexicans, like most countries, can be racist too. Both white on brown, and brown on white. I am not Mexican but I have been told by my Mexican neighbor about the racism in Mexico.

Canelo is straight up Mexican, born there, raised there, native Spanish speaker, and he is hated and rejected by some Mexicans.

But they accept David Benavidez, who’s American born. Sure he speaks Spanish but if that’s all that makes you a “real” Mexican then I guess I can claim Mexico is my country because I speak Spanish? Lol. They just like that Benavidez is a brown Mexican-American.

And as a Latino immigrant myself, nobody has the right to tell Ryan Garcia that he isn’t a “real” Mexican. If he wants to represent his ancestors, that’s for him to decide. He wants to come in with the Mexican and American flag, he has that right.

I think that’s a huge difference from the Caribbean and Mexico. Nobody from my country would tell me I am not from there because I speak English and live in the US. We all love and accept each other no matter what.

When Danny Garcia, a Philly fighter who barely speaks Spanish, went to PR to fight, he was cheered, not booed.

Some Mexicans are such self-haters, it’s like a different planet over there.
            Lol nice try but no.

Can Mexicans be racist? Of course we can. Funny how you try to say that Canelo is not like becuase of his light complication though........you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. If you live in the USA then most likely you saw Canelo's career from when he went to Golden Boy Promotions to the present day. The partial rejection in Mexico to Canelo stems form his early career when he was being built on Televisa.....not because he a light skinned freckled red head.

David Benavidez is accepted by a lot of us Mexicans because he carries himself like one. He seems willing to fight anyone, comes out with our flag, speaks to us in spanish.

Some Mexicans don't consider Mexican Americans as real Mexicans.....not me, if you are of Mexican heritage and are going to carry it proudly and honorably then I will never deny you the right to claim Mexican....... Ryan does NOT fit that bill.

Well explained, bro. Kudos. I think the same, especially the example of Lara being a Black American but not Afro American, although Lara's original people are African, too. That's why I use specific phrases on here too.

Personally, I'm African before American, and not too proud of the American part, either. I identify more by race than nationality. Nationalism is a mental illness in my view.

He can't even speak one word Spanish. Canelo learned English despite his Irish-Mexican ethnicity. Gaycia is Mexican and doesn't know his own language lol.

So.... Mexicans don't have to ashamed of him right?

Facts, the Mexican boxing fans are some of the best in the world. They hate canelo because of his narcissistic diva antics and that he thinks the sport of boxing is beneath him. It has nothing to do with his skin color. The all love Gallo Estrada, JMM, and others. I have been to boxing matches in Mexico and the fans I spoke with had immense respect for guys like Demetrius Andrade and Terence Crawford.

Latino Broner minus the Arrest Warrants. Fast hands, good power but is flat-footed and stiff as a board. Just put him in with the right opponent.

                      Yeah, bullsh/t.

Mexicans have some of the most self-loathing people of any Latin American country in the world. A lot of you hate the best active Mexican fighter in boxing. And a lot of you hate the most popular Mexican-American boxer in boxing, too. It doesn’t matter where they were born or what language they speak. You are all just self-loathing. Ya’ll hate eachother.

Garcia and Canelo aren’t as hated by South Americans and Caribbeans as they are by their own people/ancestors. You are all an embarrassment. Just because they’re white Mexicans, you don’t like them. Okay, Ryan Garcia, you don’t like because he doesn’t speak Spanish. But what about Canelo? Dude barely speaks English and ya’ll still hate him. But David Benavidez, the Mexican-American with a limited resume, he gets a pass because he’s brown.

You can’t get more Mexican than Ryan’s parents. They’re straight up Mexicans. So what their son was born in the US and lived a good life? He really has to be some peasant from a crazy ass Mexican barrio and have ties to a Mexican cartel for him to be accepted? That’s bullsh/t. Self-loathing, look it up.
